The "didn't do anything in Leinster" bit is slightly misleading.
Laois lost to Offaly by 7 or 8 points I think but played pretty much all bar 15 minutes of the game with 14 men. The lad sent off, James Kelly, is one of Laois's best defenders.
That all said, I expect Down to have too much for us Saturday week.
Fair enough, just going off the result as would have expected Laois to maybe bloody a few noses in Leinster not get well beaten by a weak enough Offaly team.

Down definitely favourites but they're no world beaters, highly doubt they'll rack up anything like the score they did the last day.

Down could have and should have beaten an Armagh team that ar in an All Ireland semi final and supposedly years ahead.
Laois will set up defensively and try to frustrate Down thst and the pressure of being favourites might hang over Down.

I suppose Antrim came pretty close to Down in the Ulster SFC too if you want to apply that type of logic. The same Antrim team that Laois beat in the Tialteann semi!
Down definitely favourites alright but here in Laois we're hopeful of a good performance from our lads and who knows?

Trying to buy an adult and juvenile ticket for next Sat games and they keep trying to charge me for 2 adult tickets? It's lower hogan. I got juvenile tickets last year in thr cusack.

Anyone know what number of tickets went to Down and Laois fornthe final on sat? Only hill upper corner of cusack and lower corner of canal/hogan on ticketmaster. But I assume some more may become available if the clubs return any. Looking pretty close to a full house at moment though.

They haven't opened upper deck hogan nor upper deck canal end fully .
Looking like 50k

Would make more sense to open the decent seats. Would put people off going knowing they're stuck with a bad view.

No tickets through the clubs in Armagh not sure about Down and Laois.

I recall reading on here last year that ticketmaster hold some of the better tickets back until closer to the match day.

Not sure if that is a marketing ploy or bullshit, but I'm going to hold off until Friday just in case. It won't be sold out regardless and the seats available then won't be any worse than what is on offer at the minute.

Yeah not a bad plan.

Saffrongael

Yeah juvenile tickets only available from 301-323, which is the lower Cusack by the hill round to the corner of the Davin where it meets the Hogan & then 701-723 on the upper deck.

Double letters in the Davin are pretty good, you have a great view of the pitch if you are back a bit, much better than those corner seats.
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come
