Quote from: tiempo on September 11, 2024, 11:03:16 AMTruth be told the Dubs would have given the tans and Greekans a better game

Sure the Dubs couldn't even beat Galway this year and they always beat Galway.

End of an era. Not one of my favourite commentators. Loved to run with silly themes. And always incited fear with his comment - ''Danger here!''

Hard to believe he is 74.

Hamilton saw 'way the wind was blowing' on RTÉ Sport exit

Ach he wasn't so bad .Certainly better than most of the younger ones. Even if he did overdo it attempting to pronounce all foreign players names in their native accent. I think in a few years we will miss him like Dunphy Giles and O Herlihy

Will miss him and o'herlihy but not the other two. Actually maybe that's a bit harsh on Giles but definitely wouldn't miss Dunphy.

Matt Doherty looks to be put out for pasture. Been living on borrowed time......for a long time.

Thank god for that. The most unforgivable thing there is the lack of effort. Shades of rashford's work rate the way he plays for Ireland.

Had to go. No effort whatsoever.

Loi looks like it's going to have an exciting run in.

Sportacus

I was impressed with Ronan Hale today. He looked a much better striker than Idah who owns a squad jersey at the moment.

Norwich did well to get 9.9m for Idah.

The opening goal for Finland one of the worst ever goals conceded by Irish team?
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

There's a lot of competition for that accolade, a lot.

Watching COYBIG Nil is as enticing as being brought to Knock for a day when you were a young lad.

Ireland 2-1 ahead with a a few minutes to play. 2-1 winners a good away result.

Two great goals in fairness. That bit of magic from Ebosele is good to see.
