I see the organisers of the Dublin Marathon have announced a brand new half marathon race for next March.
Looks like it will be all on the North side starting on O'Connell Street and heading out towards Raheny before coming back in via Clontarf.
Nice to see a Half that won't be in the Park, would expect a big demand for this.

First run of the year, planned to head out sooner but weather being as it was I never bothered.

Birthday just after new year, wife bought me lovely pair of Brooks

Daughters thought it be good craic to enter me into the Belfast marathon for a birthday gift!

So gotta get the miles up, wasn't interested in doing another, but youngest entered too, so obliged now!

Oh and the run was shite! Too much chocolate, roast dinners, wine, beer and lounging about!

Does anyone have any recommendations or even know if it's possible to get wireless (Or wrap around) headphones that can pick up FM radio. I had a small mp3 player that worked with wired headphones but signal/ connection was average at best. Not even sure if it's possible or if the wired connection is needed as an antenna. I was searching and loads of options but none I can see with a tuner.
Would prefer to leave phone at home rather than downloading an app and connecting via Bluetooth.

Finally a run were I wasn't cursing the whole way through it...

Pace is so slow to where I've been before but happy with not having the dread feeling leaving the house..

Also I've noticed running with a belly is not recommended

Trueblue you can get them on Amazon but a lot of them look quite clunky for running.

Running not much fun when you're unfit and takes a lot of patience to keep at it but worth it if you do...
