Went to match, reading back through posts there and don't see one mention of Petey Harte, thought he had a blinder of a game and while Joe Oguz was superb Errigal don't win that without Harte pulling the strings.

Eugene Brannigan was excellent for Kilcoo, the full back as well.

Shite enuf game but enjoyed it.

Started watching an Australian show called Mr Inbetween after noticing a random online recommendation, it's very good. Low level crime drama with some typical aussie humour, 30min episodes.

Quote from: trileacman on December 06, 2024, 12:20:32 PMCan we agree that a border poll held in the next 5 years would be very likely to be defeated?

I mean if I were a Unionist I would want a border poll now to bury the issue for a few decades, much like what has happened in Scotland. I really think if SF, as the largest party in the Assembly and with a Labour SOS, really forced the issue they would get a border poll.

It looks win/win for the Labour Party too. Lose the border poll and you cut loose one of your biggest budget liabilities without much political blowback. Win the border poll and they shore up their little Englander vote whilst simultaneously appeasing nationalists (by arranging a poll) and Unionists (by winning it).
My thoughts as well, but i think Unionism thinks once it's on the agenda it doesn't go away. This is best exemplified by Nigel Farage on Brexit night when it was obvious the leave vote was higher than expected but final results were not yet clear - Farage made a statement saying something like, 'this is not over by a
long way and we will redouble our
efforts'. Eventho Cameron had clearly stated this was a once in a generation referendum that will put the issue to bed.

Quote from: bennydorano on March 06, 2024, 07:19:44 PMI've a mate who invests in Bitcoin for the real longterm, he's convinced come back in 10 years time and it could be near 1m per btc.

Quoting myself from last March, Bitcoin obviously pretty dear to buy atm, but if you're a real long termer see above.

It already crashed, a good hard pump & dump. I've no idea what real world value or function so called Meme Coins are meant to have.

Quote from: tiempo on December 02, 2024, 01:49:03 PMRachel Riley broke up her marriage to run off with her dance partner on Strictly, neither cancelled, and not the only one. Loose Women is a trope for womens banter up to and including innuendo and objectification, you wouldn't want to be looking for balance or equivalence when it comes to gender wars
It would be anti-semitic calling her out

There's a great informative tweet thread in regards to Syria, what it potentially means to all the big players in the area.
