But seriously, Spurs have beaten Utd 3 times this year so will go in confident enough, injuries aside, Post is a good manager, but has been unlucky this year due to those injuries.

Utd have the benefit of having played at this ground recently, some players are coming back with form and from injuries and there is also Harry Maguire! up from down the wing and center back!

Its a 50/50 game and I like the odds of Spurs at evens to lift the trophy as this game could go to penalties

But the league table and these teams have a opportunity to play in the CL is farcical 

3 nil up at half time, plenty of teams have scored 3 at old Trafford without reply lately so wouldn't surprise me. Won't see it as I'm out..

One thing that will definitely make you rethink your drinking is gout.

I've had gout for years, there are triggers for me, and I've recognised these and generally stay away from them, been a while (physically touch wood) I've been free from attacks, about 1 year now, but whiskey is not a friend of the big toe!

Though I like whisky the odd time, especially at free functions😉

Lurgan, during my yearly month off drink, I've done the whole 0% Gin.. I found it cracking, it's just a sensation rather the hit, and it has a placebo effect, might not be with everyone but found it grand.

Turning Point: The Vietnam War on Netflix.  It's decent.  A solid 8/10, but it really isnt much of what we havent seen before. I preferred the Ken Burns 10 part series that was out a few years ago.

I had hoped for more of a Vietnamese focus, and more specifics about the actual war and battles etc. Sometimes I feel these docs go too far into what effect the war was having on society in USA, while completely skipping over the specifics of what was going on in the actual conflict in late 60s and early 70s.

Hard to beat Ken Burns in fairness but it is trying to give a different view on things a bit, think I've another one or two to watch so no spoilers lol

I'd agree on the benefit of having the perspective of differing viewpoints.  Two other excellent tv docs series. both on You Tube in their entirety,
Canadian tv  Vietnam - the ten thousand day war
and PBS -   Vietnam -  a televised history.

Is there a French version and an Vietnamese north south version of the war?

The Americans must look back at that period (like they do with everything ffs) and say why the hell did we actually do this? Its bonkers to think that I was 3 years old when the war stopped
 

Be an interesting final, Inter have score a few goals and let in a few goals which is not very Italian, be interesting to see if they are both open come the final, probably be a 1-0 job after all those goals..

Not a rugby expert by any stretch but is the Lions Tour not ultimately just a few challenge matches.

It been going on since 4 years after the GAA was started, I think the tradition of it keeps it up there as a great sporting event in the rugby timetable, in challenge games there's a bit fight but generally it peter's out well before the end, this doesn't.. Not too many challenge series games get sold out also..

That said I wouldn't be watching a lot of it unless it fits in with my own timetable. But there is a fair few that will

Oh, so the rules around time differ from county to club - I did not know that.

Yeah I think it's been primarily intercounty and only at grounds that have hooters.. there were games in some divisions that didn't have hooters so the game stopped as normal..

The rulebook says the ref blows for full time when the ball goes out of play after the time is up, tonight the head of referees in Antrim blew for half time when one side were on the attack.

Think you are mistaking intercounty and club.. there's no hooter to signal end of game to allow the ball to be played out to end it..

The ref just blows the whistle when time is up, regardless of where it is..

Surely when time is up hes meant to wait until the ball goes dead then blow, otherwise its a completely different rule

Comfortable enough win for Cargin. Some head scratching around the referees interpretation of the new rules though. MR2 maybe you can clarify, does the ball have to go dead for full time to be blown or half time for that matter? Aggressively remonstrating with the ref still a black card or now a yellow card?

There's no hooter in club games, hell, there's no hooter in games in some intercounty championship games, so the ref blows when his time is up.. remonstrating aggressively is a black, but that is down to the ref's account of it, not the players or supporters, yellow cards generally given out to players if they continue to give dissent after the ball is moved..

I'm still explaining rules during games, I'm also questioning some calls also, so it's difficult
