cheering for a DA who since being elected has tossed out 69% of criminal cases put before him even though shootings are up 100% and murder up 51% , very sad indeed from a man with a family

You're whining about an investigation into Trump which hasn't even resulted in charges yet, but have no comment whatsoever on Trump's incitement, which has a documented history of leading to violence and death, and his questioning whether the NYPD should be doing their job and protecting elected officials like Bragg. Just wait until the serious stuff in Georgia and the Justice Dept heads towards conclusion! And all this as Trump is starting to go to work on DeSantis, who is supposed to be your boy.

A couple of small issues from a quick scan...

1.   The 51% murder increase from 2019-21 appears to refer to the whole city. Bragg is DA for Manhattan. If there is data for Manhattan alone, someone should post it.
2.   The 2022 figures showed a roughly 10% decline in murders for the whole city from 2021.
3.   Bragg wasn't DA in 2019-21. He took office in January 2022.

Bragg himself is even quoted in the article complaining about the effects of the law on staff retention in the DA's office!
