Gay , woman of color and gay , woman of color , a fluid gender human , woman of color the administration is open about this and that’s why they are in the positions they are in .
Most sensible people would say they got it because the administration was open to considering people regardless of their sexual orientation, gender, gender ID etc (in the last 30 years, every single GOP justice bar one has been a straight white, Christian male; the exception being a straight white, hardline catholic woman). And even if you go with your spin, there's nothing wrong with breaking glass ceilings as long as the person is qualified. Once the ceiling is broken, its not an issue anymore. Credit to Ronald Reagan back in the day for appointing Sandra Day O'Connor.
And yes, Brown Jackson did end up on the selection list because they wanted a black woman. But they didn't just open the phone book and randomly pick out black women. She was given the highest rating by the ABA. And she seems to be doing just fine, holding her own. Anyway, last time out, the Dems did go the straight white male route, but McConnell wouldn't even give the poor man a vote, nine months before the election.
