GAA Discussion / Re: Dublins League Fixtures
November 30, 2006, 09:03:56 PM
Always stuck up for Paul Casey in past, but I feel that both he and Coman G need replacing.IMO they tend to go awol when a game is going againt us and when the opposition get on  a run it seems that they sweep forward at will. Not gritty enough and would maybe like to SOS or BC tried as wing backs with Paddy Christie (if fit) at full back.
Saddens me to say it as I always liked Casey.

GAA Discussion / NOTE TO JOURNALISTS
November 28, 2006, 08:06:09 PM
With CP opening up to Soccer and Rugby in New Year PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not write "humorous" articles about Rugby Fans drinking Heino on northside, getting their Mercs stolen, neding a passport to cross the Liffey, needing directions etc etc etc.
Get impression many Journos follow the Board and would be obliged if they would pass message onto colleagues.

I think I plea in vain but have to try.

BOGBALL XV , Cluxton got an Allstar only for 2006, as far as I have read nobody has said he is the greatest in game.
Jeez the anti Dublin bias has not gone away you know.

GAA Discussion / Re: Cricket

Cricket is very popular in the Fingal area , as is Gaelic Football. Also popular in North Cork I believe. Never played it myself but developed a liking for the game in Oz. Can't stand Shane Warne though. Met Glenn McGrath in a pub in Melbourne and he  seemed sound.

Alot of nonsense IMO. All Irelands are won cumulatively over an 8 mth period. Winning teams can always LOOK BACK and point out a "Turning Point" in their season (usually in a post season book or dvd) Luck plays a big part as does circumstance. My point is that you never see a team or manager point out such an "Inspirational Turning Point" mid season.
