Everyone I'm talking to about this game seems convinced that Dublin will win it. When I point out that they only just got past Kildare, who are about to be beaten by Tyrone, they just stare at me as if the information hasn't computed!

So let me get this straight...

For years the argument was that Kerry had it handy  in Munster, and they'd never have won all those all-Irelands if they had to play in Ulster.   And now the argument is that the draw was rigged so as to give Kerry a handy draw against... the defeater Ulster finalists?

Timekeeping is a joke, though, with referees afraid to blow the whistle during play, even after time is up. But giving a 45 to the home team a minute and a half after time up is a new low. I'm amazed the Down people are not sitting on the pitch. Maybe they are - there's only about fifteen of them there, by the sound ofit.

In fairness, the 45 was taken a minute-and-a-half after the three minutes injury time--it was awarded about a minute before it was taken.

This is one reason why Sherlock has been (and should still be) so valuable to this team.  Pretty much alone amongst the Dublin forwards, he understands how to make a forward line run as a unit, showing for passes, and laying off to the man in space.  Whether he scores big or not, Dublin's forward line is always more cohesive with him playing.

This thread is on the road for a few days now and only one Dublin poster interested in talking about the first panel of the new regime. Half arsed summer boys ! If someone posted a comment giving out about the Dubs the usual hardcore  would be out........Heffo is the one and only true blue Dub supporter on this board by the looks of it.

And if there were a load of Dublin posters discussing it, someone would be on here saying it should be on the Local GAA Discussion board.
