Has anyone ever bought off these?
I want to buy a few lenses for my DSLR and they seem to be way cheaper than any other place.
On one lens they are almost 200yoyos cheaper than a camera shop in Dublin city.

Inquiry after Kangaroo released at hotel party

Gardaí are investigating an incident in which an animal, believed to be a kangaroo, was released onto the dance floor of a hotel in Dublin on Saturday night.

The incident took place during a 30th birthday party at the Clarion Hotel in Liffey Valley in Dublin.
Video footage shows a man picking up and swinging the animal while the theme tune to 'Skippy the Bush Kangaroo' is played in the background.

Hotel management and the Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals have said they are horrified by the incident.
Gardaí say they are investigating reports that the animal later died.
General Manager of the hotel, Garret Marrinan, said that they became aware of the incident when the manager on duty noticed a commotion on the dance floor.

When he went to investigate he saw what he believed was a large dog and instructed security to remove it.
By the time security arrived the animal and the box it was in had disappeared.

He said the hotel did not know it was a kangaroo until they were contacted by gardaí yesterday.
The hotel has passed on CCTV footage of the incident to help gardaí with their investigation.

Near the end of World War II, an aircraft of undetermined origin crashed in the Brooks Range of northern Alaska. It carried passengers who appeared outwardly human but are not of terrestrial origin. They have some genetic differences and age much more slowly than humans. Most of the survivors were interned by the U.S. government in a secret facility nearby run by intelligence agencies, since they have refused to disclose much about their origin, but some escaped and live among the population.
President Elias Martinez learns of the facililty's existence shortly after his inauguration and decides, after meeting the leader of the detainees, to release them and disclose their existence to the world over the objections of the intelligence agencies. His plans are put on hold when an assassination attempt on him is foiled by means beyond human technology. The CIA, realizing that this means there are other aliens, secretly plans to find and kill them, unaware that the agent chosen to head the effort is himself one.
Caught in the middle of these events is Sean Walker, whose plans to propose to his girlfriend Leila on a Caribbean cruise were cut short when she mysteriously disappears from the ship. His investigation eventually leads him to uncover the assassination plot

General discussion / Rafa Benitez Newcastle United Manager.
« on: August 30, 2010, 10:52:08 PM »

Rafael "Rafa" Benítez Maudes (born 16 April 1960) is a Spanish football manager and former player, currently in charge of Internazionale having replaced José Mourinho in June 2010. He is perhaps best known for his six year spell managing Liverpool between 2004 and 2010.

Born in Madrid, Benítez played football throughout his youth and joined the Real Madrid academy. He mixed his university studies with his football career at lower division Spanish teams. He joined Real Madrid's coaching staff at the age of 26, going on to work as the under 19 and reserve team coach, and assistant manager for the senior team. Benítez moved away from Real Madrid but management spells at Real Valladolid and Osasuna were short-lived and unsuccessful.

Benítez guided Segunda División side Extremadura back to the Primera División in his first season in 1997, but the team was relegated the following season. He left the club, taking a brief break from football before returning to coach Tenerife in 2000. Benítez was appointed coach of Valencia and he proved himself to be amongst the top Spanish managers by winning La Liga in the 2001–02 season—Don Balón and El País named him Manager of the Year. In 2004, another league title and a UEFA Cup victory were added. However, a disagreement between Benítez and the club director over team investment caused the Spaniard to switch to English Premier League team Liverpool F.C.

Benítez was a high-achiever in his first season as he guided Liverpool to victory in the UEFA Champions League, the highest honour in European club football. In the following three seasons he won the FA Cup, amongst other honours, and reached the 2007 Champions League Final, but remained unable to win the Premier League, with Liverpool's best performance under Benítez a second place finish in 2008–09.

The sporting event of the year is almost upon us.

With Peter Hanson moving into automatic qualification today it leaves Monty with some serious decisions to make for his wildcard entry's.
With only one qualifying event left..next week at Gleneagles...and with the likes of Casey,Donald and Harrington not playing in it and all outside automatic qualification it will be interesting to see who Monty goes for.

Personally I would leave Harrington out.
What is for sure, some big name isn't gonna be happy when Monty makes his picks

General discussion / Lunches
« on: August 18, 2010, 08:19:33 PM »
Fairly sick of Hang sandwiches for my lunch, anyone any suggestions..?
Did try and experiment with Pitta breads a few times but its a pain making them at night.
Don't want to fall back into the trap of buying lunch everyday as your looking at at least €15 a day so it all adds up over the week/month.
I hate making lunches the night before and I'm never in form to make them in the morning.

As far as I know my aul pal Westwood won't be competing this week.
Tiger was awful last week so only a fool would back him surely?
Didn't realise Shane Lowry had qualified until I saw his name on paddypower

My bets are

Tiger Woods  :) @ 16/1 €10 e/w
Jim Furyk @ 35/1 €10 e/w
Justin Rose @ 45/1 €5 e/w
For the craic Shane Lowry to finish Top 10 €10 @ 18/1
