Name some of your weirdest

2 that i have recently

Going to the doctor with a foot complaint and them asking me to look out the window and then nailing my feet to the floor.

The other one i was in a car park refereeing a row between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. I separated them and told them to fight clean and respect what they were fighting for which was an old car tyre with the wire coming out of it.

The mind is a strange thing.

I'd like to hear your views on this.

O Se yesterday gets away with 2 elbow/forearm smashes to Stephen Kellys head. Not only does the ref do nothing the pundits commentating gloss over it like it was nothing. Same thing in All Ireland final last year. Tadgh Kennelly straight in with the elbow in the first 10 seconds, should have been straight red. Galvins constant knavery is another example, the pundits gloss over it with words like great competitor, putting you hand inside another mans mouth and trying to rip his face is not being a great competitor its being a tr**p. My point is that other counties get labelled as negative or downright dirty when Kerry seem to have this myth surrounding them that they are clean and whiter than white. Come on RTE grow a set and show/tell it as it is.

General discussion / Stag do
January 08, 2009, 01:05:06 PM
There has been lots of threads on Stag parties but its an ever changing beast with places falling out of fashion, exchange rates etc etc. For a group of lads from Armagh/Dungannon area heading somewhere for a weekend probably either May bank holiday or July 12th weekend, what are the best destinations. Important criteria is as follows

not to get raped on price of drink accommodation, or raped at all i suppose. Some want to go abroad some want to go south some want to go over the water.
Any suggestions or anyone booked anywhere for the year ahead?

Such was the high brow nature of the debate in the pub on Sunday ::), i was lambasted by someone for having the temerity to suggest i'd rather have Clarke on my team than Ciaran McDonald. My point basically was that at 19 Clarke could take on Seamus Moynihan and give him a fair rattle over 70 mins. McDonald while passing the ball with the outside of the boot on your own 45 is fine and dandy, but did feck all in 2004 and 2006 when it counted.
If you had to pick either one which would it be?

General discussion / The New Years resolution Thread
November 08, 2007, 10:59:35 AM
Early days lads i suppose but what is the general consensus for new years resolutions.
I have already started mine.
a)Less Beer
b)More Exercise
result =
c) Lose beef

The thinking being that if i start now then it will be easier in January. Other years i've thought feck it get christmas out of the way and worry about it then but the task seems very daunting on the first of January when its cold dark and miserable and all you want to do is get through the winter in the most amount of comfort possible.
Any thoughts / tips on staying motivated, avoiding the pub, general lifestyle changes?
