This is crazy! This surely cannot go on forever?

How can the governement reduce the cost of this?

1 - Do not police the parades! (probably a recipe for dissaster in some areas.)
2 - Stop parades? (Aren't the hate filled & sectarian anyway?)
3 - Reduce parades / Shorten the marching season? 5 months is too long surely!! - Would 1 day every year not be enough?
4 - Much like football clubs, force the Orange Order to pay for part of the bill?

General discussion / External (Network?) Hard Drives
January 24, 2011, 03:39:10 PM
Sorry for another topic on these items, but I've browsed through the others (which are 2 years old now!) & I'm hoping for some more advice.

Ok, I'm hoping to get an External Hard Drive filled with goodies to watch via my PS3 (I understand that the PS3 only plays a specific format.)

Is it possible to plug this External drive into a socket in the office. & playback a movie / music to my living room tv via my PS3??

Or do I have to have the drive plugged into the ps3 / or laptop?

I haven't really got a clue. Advice is welcome!

GAA Discussion / Irish News Talks Ulster GAA
May 20, 2010, 10:48:28 AM
Anyone in the theatre in Armagh last night?

Panel chaired by the lovely Joanne Cantwell, included Benny Tierney, Jody Gormley, Paddy Heaney & Ciaran Whelan.

I thought it was a super discussion, flowed very smoothly, with some humour thrown in, particularly from Benny who was in great form.

General discussion / County Border Towns
April 04, 2008, 09:27:41 AM
Folks,

I'm going to be driving round the country later in the year, going to try & give every county a touch. To make it a little easier on myself, I'm calling on your knowledge - can you post up a few county border towns around the country, to help me put my route together!

Cheers in advance guys!  ;)

Folks, was just wondering where the best place to book a round the world trip.

Thinking of heading away for 3 months next year, maybe check out Oz, NewZealand & some of South East Asia.

General discussion / Monopoly
April 24, 2007, 12:07:22 PM
Hasbro Toy Company are producing the All-Ireland edition of Monopoly, the worlds most famous board game, later this year.
>
> Each square will feature a county, represented by the most popular
visitor attraction in that county. With space only for 22 of the 32 counties Hasbro have decided to let the Irish population vote for the 22 counties to feature. By visiting http://www.monopoly.ie/index.aspx you can vote for your county, the site will be officially launched on April 26th but voting has commenced since April 23rd.
>
> This is a novel and unique way to raise the awareness of and promote
the
county but as we have the lowest population base we need to get voting now.
You can vote once a day and I would urge all staff to log on daily and vote, the site stays live for 30days after which the winning 22 counties will be known.

GAA Discussion / Reserve's or B's??
January 09, 2007, 03:56:00 PM
Armagh have B's - Tyrone have Reserves...

Crossmaglen have II's  ::)

Shouldn't this be standard across the sport?
