If the Longford championship were run along the lines of the GAA all Ireland Fuball  the Slashers would get nearly all of the money and be going for 4 in a row and attendances would be down. It would be shite.

I like those odds on Mostrim.

Jesus - Seafoid. A worrying thought - thing is at least the Dubs have supporters to fill the coffers. Slashers supporters are a wee bit thin on the ground. Always have been - Longford town is still a garrison town!

Mostrim 0-9 Mullinalaghta 1-11

Commiserations to Shamrock and The Insider for being on the wrong side of a tight but dour and occasionally squally game played in the drizzle and occasional semi-darkness of Pearse Park.

The pain endures. 26 years and counting. Good luck to the Mullinyarta boys in the 3-in-a-row bid

On last night's performance we'd need a shed-load of it.

I suppose everything in the US is bigger, including Longford

I s'pose seeing as Armagh's Jamie Clarke was the MOTM we could tip the hat towards the Orchard boys.

I think he scored nearly all of Longford's scores.

LaurelEye

We'll claim him as an honourary Longford man. Crossmaglen are nearly as dominant as Wolfe Tones Hurling Club, after all.

SLIGONIAN

Lads, sorry to hijack the thread, but was is Denis Connerton like? He is in for the Sligo manager job and I'm just wondering if he's any good.

Boots will be disappointed with the Colmcille goalie - seeing as the glorious past there.

Clonguish v Mullinalaghta promises to be a good game.
