Galway 0-10 Mayo 0-7 at the break. Conroy, Comer causing damage from play. Only 3 points from play thus far for Mayo.

Galway 0-13 Mayo 0-11 midway through the 2nd half. Ryan O Donoghue off the bench with all of Mayos scores in this half.

Result Galway 0-17 Mayo 0-13.

I think it's 7 debutants and a few other lads who haven't 10 games between them.

High scoring affair in tonights 2nd semi final. Roscommon 3-23 Sligo 0-21. Conor Cox and Niall Murphy scored 25 points between them.

Well take the win and the 12 or 13 new lads getting their 1st senior (semi) competitive game.
Cox's 11 points and Enda's trademark 50 metre run and goal to put the game to bed the highlights.
A good workout for the lads but caveats apply e.g Artificial setting, Division 4 opposition, Hughes and Murphy making us look very dodgy at the back, a glorified challenge game....
But a win is a win so let's see how Friday goes.
Best wishes to PP tomorrow.

Great to see that the FBD League final pairing is still a constant in this crazy, mixed up world.

Covid football is unsatisfactory. Teams get fewer games when they do get to play. Knockout all Ireland is all or nothing. This could continue for years.

2021 was certainly unsatisfactory with a half league and no back door in the championship. Thankfully (touch wood) we have the return of the 7 game NFL and at least two guaranteed championship matches this year or be it a little rushed with the split season. Stand alone All-Ireland quarter finals with Super 8s scrapped is a plus IMO, remains to be seen how much of a success the Tailteann Cup will be, should be novelty for a few years anyway.

Same FBD final since 2015. Would had attracted a decent crowd if it was played outdoors.

They should probaly paint the goals a different colour, or change the white behind the goals.

Roscommon 0-10 Galway 1-6 at half time. Roscommon the better team and should be leading by 5 or 6 points. Galway goal came against the run of play.

We seem to have run out of ideas in front of goal in the later stages.

Too much white is an eye sore, must affect the players a bit in front of the goals.. I remember Emlyn Mulligan said it was tough to spot the posts.

Blowitupref

Galway the better team now, bench option has helped, Roscommon have faded. 1-12 to 0-12 Galway lead 51 mins played.
