Ciarán Comerford played some senior games last year and got a few minutes against Westmeath. Eoin Gaughan also involved. Dont know of anyone else.
Yeah Eoin Gaughan defiantly plays for them. Would Mark Dowling or Andrew Mortimer be eligible?

And don't get hurt! I'm saying that as a nice guy, a physiotherapist-type, and one who wants to see Westmeath pulverized next Sunday.
Heh. Almost a carbon-copy of the minor result two years ago: 5-21 to 0-10 (two years ago it was 6-21 to 0-9). A decent first half - 2-8 to 0-6 (1-8 to 0-6 two years ago!) - followed by a couple of silly goals in the second half, followed by complete collapse. What positives to take from it? A lot of our lads have good skill levels, though quite often the final pass let them down. They battled hard, for about 45 minutes, but once the silly goals went in, well - it became a bit of a procession. Like two years ago, Podge Delaney was the best Laois player, but I was also impressed by James Keyes, and Brandon McGinley, before he tired. He made one super catch in the first half. Joe Phelan wasn't afraid to get stuck in, either, and gave a couple of Kilkenny lads something to think about w/ nice shoulders - and he popped over a point for good measure. Kilkenny were bigger, faster, and pacier than us. Will certainly win Leinster.

I left the match strangely happy with much of what I saw. Some of the Laois players were extremely skillful and matched their opponents even though we were way smaller in stature. The more developed players like Podge Delaney easily held their own. We seemed to win the ball in nearly every tuck which is unusual for a Laois team hurling Kilkenny and we won a lot of balls in the air. Our possession was actually very good. We struggled physically up front and were very easily pushed over when going for scores. We had no big ball winner in the forwards that could turn and score. Therefore we had zero goal threat and couldn't break tackles to get shots in. We did show that we have a few lads that will add to the senior set up in the future if they develop physically. James Keyes, Brandon McGinley, the Comerfords, Liam Senior, Joe Phelan all have loads of talent.
In fairness to the full team, they hurled their hearts out and were competitive right into the middle of the second half. Would imagine quite a few are U20 next year too.

I'd have Galway and probably Dublin well ahead of Kilkenny in Leinster at this level
Oh, hadn't realised Galway were in Leinster now. In that case, it might be different, all right.

It's going that way all right,when Joe Canning started out,he was a big man at 6"3,now he's 5th biggest of the galway forwards.
Laois is a decade behind the serious hurling counties in terms of S&C,last winter was the first time this was addressed with the u14/15 squads.

We've always had the odd lad from Galmoy playing with us. Half of their catchment area is in Laois strangely enough.
Kinda like the Moneygall thing
