Could be a smart move by Galway.

It's the better option than Davy Fitz even if Shefflin managing at this level is an unknown entity.

Fitz's man management style went out years ago.

A loss for the cats. Wasn't Shefflin favourite to take over from Cody eventually ?

You would expect more steel and less cricket hurling from Galway next year

He probably still will at some stage. No harm cutting his teeth at inter county level with Galway.

A big catch for Dublin.  Should make Leinster more interesting next year

Good appointment for Dublin, pressure on him to deliver as they are very inconsistent, capable of big results one day, only to get caught on the hop the next one.

I think they are in a period of transition, finding it hard to get the blend right. Kilkenny hammered them this year.

Yeah, but they beat Wexford in Wexford who went on to beat Kilkenny in Kilkenny only proves my point even more..

seafoid

Their scoring rates let them down. The ledger for the 3 matches vs KK and Wexford was very negative. Wexford only lost by a point or so vs KK. Dublin lost by 19 or so

Won the All Ireland for Galway but it was Waterford instead Kilkenny, Limerick they played in the final and the ground work for that Galway team was done by Anthony Cunningham
