I feel that the under 21 management have missed a trick here.........imagine if they sent a statement like this "we are proud of the achievement of the under 21 squad during the week and are looking forward immensely to taking on Roscommon next week. We ask the Gaa public of Tyrone to come out in support of the team in Sligo on Saturday. We are very appreciative of the access we have been given to these players by the clubs and would not stand in the way of the opening round of league fixtures this weekend. Good luck to all involved and we look forward to another successful day next weekend".
That would have united the county in support of the team.

I have booked off work on Sunday to play. I wont be able to change at such short notice. Do I have to hope that Donegal win?

If a credible person stood as an "against the pact" and "not green or orange" candidate would you vote for them? Would such an individual have a chance if they could get the non-voters to vote?

Wrote this on 6th November on Man City thread and got devoured by some.............I  still think I am right though!

The premiership is the most over-rated sports competition in the world!!!! Overseas players come in to line their pockets and the public in Britain are being completely mugged. We think that some of our players go to the USA to get a pay off.......well the whole world is going to the premiership to get a pay off.......the players dont give a s**t and when they come agaist teams from other parts of Europe whose players do actually care they are completely shown up for what they are.....lazy and spoilt.

A lot of players do this because they get very healthy "expenses" and "benefits", just have a look at another thread on county team expenses............they do not be out of pocket, in fact the "expenses" they get help put them through college etc........i do not agree with the direction our games are taking and i hope that sense prevails soon

General discussion / Re: Rory McIlroy

McIlroy should have won as his sporting achivements in 2014 far outweighed his rivals. If an English golfer had won 2 majors it would have been a no contest........i am sure he will be able to console himself and realise what a joke this SPOTY is and will never darken its door again! Lets hope he leads Ireland to an Olympic Gold.
I just dont get Formula 1.........there is far more skill in rally driving.......am i missing something or is there a lot of skill to driving round and round a track? If any of the other drivers had been driving the Mercedes would they have won? If Hamilton was driving for a different team would his driving skills give them a chance of winning???

Hard luck Omagh, losing to a last gasp point is difficult to take. Will look back on lots of small incidents as this game came down to fine margins........Omagh will know it is an awful long road back to this stage. At least they had time to celebrate winning the Tyrone championship.
