I'm about as far from religious as you can get, but O Holy Night is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. I particularly love Nat King Cole's version.

Pennies from Heaven is one I've got to really love this past few years.

Wizzard's song is one you never really hear in the US (you might hear the odd cover). I don't get it. It is a masterpiece!

Fairytale of New York is starting to break through a little over here, although you still won't hear it out and about that much. Bill Murray had a cover of it in his Murray Christmas thing he did a few years back, while it was on the opening credits for the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special.

I'm really not a lover of Christmas music.  The only one that I could say I like, is Driving Home for Christmas.

Another worth a listen is Badly Drawn Boy's Donna & Blitzen.

Oh Holy Night
2000 miles
Do they know it's Christmas Time

I always imagine I'd crack up if I was working in retail this time of year, listening to such an amount of shite efforts on a loop.
That said, in small doses, my top 3 would be
-I believe in Father Christmas
-Stop the cavalry
-Original Band Aid/ Original Fairytale of New York.

On the Carol front, a good version of Oh Holy Night is out on its own.  In our little country church, when I was a kid there was a woman who used to do a fantastic job on it at Midnight Mass, it really felt extraordinary each time.
When A Child Is Born has something as well.
