Heading to Meath for the weekend with the bairns. Apart from Tayto, much on?

There's Funtasia in Bettystown (near Drogheda) for when it pisses rain.

There's plenty of football on. It's a great game. You'll like it.

Am booking a city break for January. Fancy Germany, never been before and looking at Berlin, Munich or Dortmund. Id love to pick up a soccer ball game as well, to see what the fuss is about.
Anybody on here an idea how a man could get 2 tickets to a Bundesliga game at the likes of Hertha, Bayern or Borussia?

Looking recommendations on a 2/3 week holiday for the summer time. I can only go in July or August and I'm going with the  :o Need to be warm and sunny obviously and good hotel 4/5star. We have been to Vegas 3 times now and would nearly be tempted to go back this year again as the hotels and things to do are so good for the money but might as well try look at somewhere else. Stayed at the Wynn Encore for 10nights last year so it is going to be hard to top that sort of accommodation without spending crazy money. Not massive drinkers or anything but like going out for dinner and going to the odd show and a bit of shopping. Basically all boring shit.

Go to Vegas for a few nights and drive to Palm Springs - such a cute wee place, about a 4 hour drive.  Or drive up the other way through Death Valley and hit Lake Tahoe.
I am saying all this as I did the Vegas/California driving holiday thing over three weeks and had the best holiday ever.

Ever try a cruise?
Excellent food, entertainment/shows every night, visit 3 or 4 different places during the days, and if you go for a suite you have the equivalent of 4/5 star accommodation with a nice few extras thrown in. At first glance it might seem expensive, but when you take into account all food paid for and all entertainment/shows included it doesnt work out too bad at all.
Drinks and excursions are the only extras that need paying for. Casino on board too if that takes your fancy.

Never understood the attraction of Vegas. My idea of a 2/3 week warm holiday would be Ital or South of france.

Yes, in a villa if I can afford it but I've been many years on the camp sites in a moblie, the standard in these places is 4 star. For me it's gotta be South of France ( Frejus ) or Italy both places would do me, would easily do a month in either spot.

Load of books, beautiful beaches, fine wine good food and chilled out with the slow pace of life out there....
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

The problem with South of France is that it's full of French, Italy is beautiful, wine, scenery, cusins and women.

I've really enjoyed France and I've never had this so called problem with French people. Any time I've had to engage in conversation be it restaurants, shops transport or whatever I've never had a bad experience and found the ones I've talked to to be grand

have to agree 100% with that, have been on holiday in France 7/8 times and great food ,wine, scenery.Great history, buildings something for everyone and as for the people have always found them warm and friendly. Also took the family there when they were young to the camp sites and would recommend it for a family holiday.

Nice is nice ;)  Though the outer villages I liked more, the promenade in Nice is quality though
