It has its own appeal. I'm damned if I know how anybody watches it live at the game though, it's impossible to tell exactly what happened until you've watched at least one replay. I used to find it bewildering until someone actually explained the rules to me.  It has the same appeal as watching a game of chess unfold, and I don't mean that in a disparaging way because I'm a chess fan myself.

Why am I not surprised at this?

I hope with all this confusion that nobody books their hotel room for the wrong weekend for the All Ireland!

         Some memories are very long lived.
