What's the story with these power balance bands. Seem to be quite popular with beckham and the likes. Are they the any good or just a new fashion accessory.

I saw something similar for sale in a gym a while ago. It was a piece of plastic, a piece of metal, and a hologram embedded. It was supposed to improve your balance, or something. I can't believe people are gullible enough to fall for that kind of manure.

I must admit, I thought it was more of a fashion accessory. I wouldn't be readin too much into it's effects, but if beckham wears it, so will I
