Once Salah missed that penalty you knew they were never gonna score today. VVD had a few chances in the first half, and the Jota header that led to the penalty was probably going in but really they created very little.That performance was more typical of this season than the one last weekend was.

The fact Real scored 5 at Anfield is irrelevant as no away goals rule so Liverpool just need to win by 3 regardless of scoreline to bro G to extra time which is not inconceivable against the 2nd best team in Spain. If Real concede first they will be under massive pressure. Liverpool at 12/1 to qualify is a good bet.

Ancelotti has Liverpool's number. And Real are not going to turn in a basket case performance like United did on Sunday. Especially not on their own patch.
