Seamus Darby by a mile.
How can that be Ireland's Greatest Sporting moment. Shouldn't even be in the list imo.

Houghton moment a deserved and obvious winner.

Not that Leix have ever had anything to shout about.
It is said that when Mandela was released from prison, the first question he asked was: have Leix made it out of Leinster yet?  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Eh ok. Weirdo.

1990's moments -

O'Leary penalty
Clare hurlers 95
Clare footballers 92
Alan McLoughlin goal
Donegal/Derry winning Sam
Maurice Fitz 97 final
Houghton again 94
Michelle Smith golds
If it's to be Ireland's Greatest sporting moment it has to be something that happens on an international stage like a World Cup or Olympics or whatever. Where the whole country is at a standstill and watching and everyone remembers where they were when it happened.
Clare winning an All Ireland in 1995 or Donegal or Derry winning isn't one of those moments. It's great for the people from them counties but no one outside of that.

The obvious standout moment is David O'Learys peno.
I would have thought Michael Carruth should have been on that list.

Ronnie Whelan's goal against the Soviet Union was better. I'd say impossible to decide between  Houghton and Darby.
Whelans goal was in a a 1-1 draw v Russia.
Houghton scored Ireland's first ever goal in a major championship and it was against England. It's a vote on Ireland's greatest sporting moment not how good or not a goal was

Darbys goal was great for Offaly, it's nowhere near Ireland's Greatest sporting moment ever. Ridiculous even having it as part of the vote.

Perhaps not Ireland's greatest moment but certainly one of the most iconic sporting memories of the 80s
True, but the show is called Ireland's Greatest sporting moment.
If there is ever a show called Iconic moments in Irish sport then it could be right up there as a contender!

Roche’s is definitely the greatest achievement, if not the greatest moment.
Michelle Smith should be the '90s winner so if that's the case.

Watched the second episode of this series of the walking dead last night.  It is already beginning to annoy me.  The long scenes of nothing but people's faces, the endless shooting of high powered weapons with little happening and the complete rubbish spoken by "The King".  I hate to give up on something that i have invested so much time in but it looks like I may have to.

Yeah, its rubbish.
strangely addictive, but complete rubbish.
Fear the Walking Dead is probably better than it now imo.
I'll still stay watching it though..well as long as Maggie is in it anyhow..

Looks increasingly likely that we will lose Can on a free next year. Keita will soften the blow but still a big loss.
Would be a massive loss to lose Can, if he goes on a free it will be criminal.
I see Mane might even make the bench tomorrow, great to get him back. Also Lallana is back after the international break, having him back will be almost like having a new signing.

That iptv I signed up for can be used via an app on my smart tv. Tried it out there last night and it works perfectly.
Don't even need to use an android box now as it will all be controlled via my TV smart remote. Very handy indeed.
Only works on Samsung and LG tvs apparently.

I can do the same with the IPTV I subscribe to. It's very handy.
What app are you using?? The one I use is SIPTV. They give you a free weeks trial. After that it's a one off payment of 5:50. Well worth it.

Yep i've been doing the same for over a month now. I use the smart IPTV app on my LG TV. No problem with the football last night and no need for a VPN.  I just searched for a few providers on Twitter (seems to be loads of them).  Did a few trials and then picked one.
Yeah SIPTV that's the app. As Geoff said I had to pay a small one off fee.
Delighted with it as I never knew you could do that. I've an LG also.
