Easy to blame the LGFA, who are almost all volunteers; it's a thankless task and they have no money. Perhaps the grumblers on this forum could put themselves forward for office.

Players and coaches are volunteers as well.  I can't say who was right or wrong here but just saying people are volunteers is no excuse for incompetence.  Do the job right/fairly or don't take the role.  If you take the role you are impacting on people who are also volunteers

Imagine Kerry plays on a Sunday, made to play the next Wednesday, then final next Sunday.  Do you ever remember that happening in a senior mens competition?  Me neither.  We can't comprehend it because it just wouldn't happen.  We'd understand why because we know it would be a farce to have so many key games so close together.  Forget Steelstown's gripe about the 3G pitch.  That was the wrong line to take.  The Ulster LGFA put them in a bind because of poor planning having such key games so close together.  There was no regard for player welfare, nor for the integrity of the competition.  Did they think they'd get the best outcome from compressing the final 3 games of the competition?  They didn't care, just wanted the competition finished.  Steelstown lost the final last year by 1 point.  Do people think they just casually threw their chance of a final?  Ulster LGFA ballsed up.  In the first place,  by not planning contingency for a pitch failure the first day. This is Ireland.  October is always wet.  No contingency for an unplayable pitch on day 1.  Screw ups thereafter.  Ulster LGFA are incompetent.  Steelstown didn't play their cards well but are ultimately the loser.  They should have gone and played on their bare feet if they had to.  But Ulster LGFA behaved with no virtue and have no credibility if they ever mention player welfare again.

I'm trying to run a business here and while I'm glad they've moved to 7 days, there is absolutely no communication apart from individuals on Twitter, no statement on gov website, webpages on isolation have not been updated and officials are on holiday and haven't even an out of office contact.  Bunch of amateurs.

It's headlines in the BBC NI website as a government statement, with a tweet by the First Minister, hardly "an individual on Twitter".  What do you need to know?

OMahoney seems to be a bit of a protected species. Probably we all feel positive about him.   A good lad.  Always puts in a decent shift.  Today's performance was def disappointing.  Prob cost Ireland the game.  People should acknowledge this, but nobody says so.  I don't know what he is paid but his performance today isn't professional.  But nobody wants to say so.  It's the biggest factor about today's game buts is not said.

I'd seriously doubt that American couples coming over here to adopt a child didn't have to make a "donation" to whatever order of nuns to smooth over the paperwork for it to happen....

Again the Commission found no evidence of any such practice. It's still possible that particular individuals personally demanded and/or took bribes, but there is no evidence of payments to orders.

No evidence as in there was no paperwork

Yet with no evidence you still know it to be true.

It was a great place to be in the early days. You made friends with people you'd never have elsewhere, people got employment through this, charity, gifts, help and more importantly a good laugh.

Now we're old and grey/bald and go to the toilet too often during the night.

Isn't this just what is great about this board ;)

Of all the anti tyrone nonsense I've read today I think the worst is "it isn't a penalty if he touches it on the ground because the conditions are bad".
Also, I don't think I saw anyone trying to defend McKernans behaviour, we all know what he did. We aren't proud of it.
However, it should have been a red card. A strike to the head with your hand (when the ball is out of play!) Is unquestionably a sending off. Anyone who says otherwise just doesn't know the rules or is blinded by their anti-tyrone bias.

You summed it up well.  You can't connect with a person's head, otherwise it's a red.  McKiernan's reaction was pathetic.

Soft frees keeping Derry in it.

You can't be serious.  That last free for Armagh was for what?  Killed any chance Derry could go up the field and get an equalising score.

What's MaolIosa McHugh got on SF?  How did they manage to get an unknown to take one for the team and leave MaolIosa in place?

Edwin Potts on TalkBack saying CMO has evidence linked to significant spread through GAA after parties

What amazing detective powers. There is no doubt that many people have let the GAA down. The worst part of the 26 counties is in Cavan around Ballyjamesduff, not close to the border but close to Crosserlough. The closure of businesses throughout Cavan can be laid at the door of irresponsible people in those parts.

The intercounty season shouldn't lead to this, unless Fermanagh win Ulster.

About Poots - I heard that and must say I get fed up with the lack of knowledge from interviewers to come back on the claims made.  As we know, Derry City & Strabane council areas have been the hotbeds of infection recently.  I don't recall any recent big GAA games in that council area, no big congregation of GAA supporters ignoring social distancing.  That would have been an easy response from Crawley, if he had bothered.  There have been widely publicised infractions in Slaughtneil, Dungannon and after a game in South Armagh.   Behaviour was unwise, at a minimum.  However, Poots, unchallenged, only laid the blame in one direction.

The only narrative around Covid and the GAA is negative.  I know in my Co Derry club we have been very compliant with all guidelines, consistently since returning to training and play.  Across the GAA there have been clear breaches but its an organisation with a very wide reach.  I just wish the good stuff would get a bit more airtime.

My daughter has never got anything less than an A*/A in any exam got her A/S results this morning and was awarded AAB and is very unhappy. A complete Shitshow from CCEA, Weir has to go.

They evidently don't trust the teachers.

I don't think you can get A* in AS, only a max of A.  Maybe one of the teachers out there can confirm this.

So that NI can shape some of their decisions based on what is been implemented in the South. They might decide not to use the information, or decide they have a better plan or decide we are going to follow the UK regardless. It doesn't matter. The ROI should still be trying to encourage a all Ireland approach. I don't think they should be treating NI as an irrelevance.

Nothing is stopping them from doing that.

They just aren't getting a 30 minute advanced warning.

According to the Belfast Telegraph on Tuesday 5th May Coveney said that they gave the NI Executive a "heads up" the day before the Republic announced details of easing the lock down.  How much detail was given, haven't seen that anywhere.

Analysis should add something, e.g. understanding of the game beyond what you could do yourself, not just tell you what you already have perceived. Maybe something outside of the game.  For me, yesterday RTE's analysis was pretty rubbish.  In our house we started listening at half time, then fidgeted and faffed around until the game re-started.  One daughter even started homework.  Other houses might have been riveted.  Ours wasn't .
