It is a work of fiction set against the backdrop of a real event, that is the whole point. The lead character has to experience the real sectarianism at Windsor Park before realising who ridiculous it is.

This play should be stimulating the minds of those North of Ireland supporters who genuinely want to defeat sectarianism and make the team more inclusive, instead of a rash of denialism and ridiculous attempts to insinuate that the Night in November 1993 didn't actually happen

It might have been better had the Author had experience of Windsor Park before writing the play...

Especially since a subsequent visit to Windsor persuaded this notable opponent of bigotry to support not the ROI (as her character "did"), but rather the self-same NI team.

So the inconvenient truth for your bigoted rant is that either she has changed, or the whole matchday experience at Windsor has changed.  Take your pick...
"If you come in here again, you'd better bring guns"
"We don't need guns"
"Yes you fuckin' do"

How can a character in a play 'experience' real anything ???

That whole fact/fiction divide blurring for you again eh Tony ;D

More shite from fcukwit Laverty in the Telegraph, who undoubtedly had a hand in the Opinion Column last Friday and styles himself an ex GAA Player. He is the worst kind of toady, pandering to the sectarian soccer mob so that they don't lynch him when he goes to Windsor Park. He should stick to doing what he does averagely, reporting on Larne Versus Loughgall games

You're still having trouble getting over the fact that "fuckwit Laverty" has got on in his journalistic career from a wee local paper to a big job at NI's biggest paper today.

Whereas, you ....

We feel your hurt, your pain.

Main Street

You'd have to have some sympathy for the NI fans since they are being portrayed around the world in a critically acclaimed humourous play as being vile bigots.
or wouldn't you?

A 'fair cop' or 'just desserts'?
