Lad out to get his Denny ham getting caught up...poor lad, hope he made it home for tea.
That's a novel one.

Usually when some scrote get's picked up in the middle of a riot etc, his mother springs up to tell us that "Sure he had only nipped out for a wee pint of milk, when a Peeler arrested him for nahin. Nahin, I tell ye..."  :D

Grammar Gardai...bad one for you EG

Raymond Gallagher- Fermanagh

Which year ?

1993??  Against Armagh, the day Fermanagh were about 7 points up with 6 or 7 mins to play and Armagh scored 2-2 on the last couple of mins.

I note according to the BBC this morning, the Guards have rounded up the usual suspects and armed Metropolitan Police officers will be on the streets of the Free State during the Nellie Dean's visit.

I note I may have caused offence and I withdraw the rhyming slang term "Nellie Dean" to refer to the Queen. :P

The term 'Ireland' cannot be invoked other than in a 32 county context, and the Irish Constitution will corroborate that, as it's currently constituted.

So what would you call the country whom Jedward were representing on the Eurovision last night?

I don't have the time or inclination to check the rules but I suspect they were representing RTE.

Is Dean O'Neill off the panel?

I think in the end he wasn't eligible to play for Antrim

The DUP have already stated that Finance will be their first pick.  I'd say Foster is a cert for that post.

The GFA starts with a "Declaration of Support" which all participants agreed to endorse. This Declaration includes the following phrases [my emphasis]:
"... we firmly dedicate ourselves to the achievement of reconciliation, tolerance, and mutual trust..."
"We are committed to partnership, equality and mutual respect"
"[Government] shall be founded on the principles of full respect for, and equality of, civil, political, social and cultural rights, of freedom from discrimination for all citizens, and of parity of esteem and of just and equal treatment for the identity, ethos, and aspirations of both communities;"
"[Participants] recognise the birthright of all the people of Northern Ireland to identify themselves and be accepted as Irish or British, or both, as they may so choose"

Could EG or someone point out the above to that arsehole Elliott ?
Does Elliott post on this website? If so, any idea of his User Name?

(No hurry, btw - it can wait until I've heard back from Eamonnca1)

TonyBaloney?? ;) (With apologies to the real TB)

Ok, this Sunday in Donegal, is there an upset? Antrim in Championship have always done well in Donegal, couple of wins and a right few narrow defeats. Bookies have Donegal at 2/9 which in fairness is a true reflection of the form they bring into the match. Antrim are at a sorry 9/2 for the game. No doubt the handicap will be Antrim plus foul, possibly plus five.

On the league form thats where we are at. League and Championship is totally different. The team that played in the league won't be the same nor positionally the same. I think Donegal can sometimes implode on the day and Antrim would need to be on a good day to take advantage. Haven't read much on Donegal leading up to the match so don't know about any problems injury wise they have or their starting 15.

Simons team ain't bad looking on paper, McCann apparently is shaping up well since he's been back but would doubt he's up to Championship level yet but in Fullforward he could more than hold his own, win frees for Paddy to stick over.

I'm going for a more closely contested match than what the bookies think, Donegal may win but with only a couple of points to spare and Antrim with a chance in the end to steal it (But miss :()

I'm definitely having some of that!
