Can only speak from my own personal experience.  A lot of Northern nationalists confuse the views of e.g. the Eoghan Harrises and the Sindo of this country with the wider view of the North held by Southerners.  I spend a fair bit of time in the South (mostly in the border counties I admit) but also in Dublin. I've only experienced "anti-northern" sentiments directly once.  Yes some people are a bit ignorant of what the North is like but I generally find that this is not reflected in "anti-northerness".  Maybe people in the South don't think about a United Ireland every day but who does?

IMHO, Chelsea's problems have little to do with the manager.  Time for the players to look in the mirror and admit that, based on the season so far, they're overpaid parcels of dung.  A few playing on past memories, too many content to take handy money and hide.  My only gripe with AVB is that it's clear the best striker at the club by a country mile is Daniel Sturridge and he should start every game.

I hate this politically correct shit.

So I cant comment that I work with a Paki, or a half cast, or a jack from dublin, or a bird with long legs, or a pensioner, or a prod, or a spotty teenager?

Why are people trying to pretend to be something that they are not?

Hey, negrito, no you can't.

Good to see Keano showing his loyalties again last night . . . why do people all around Ireland continue to worship this man?? It's beyond me!!

Not Keane's biggest fan and didn't see the England game but how was he being disloyal by being a studio pundit?  Handy money I'd say when you see the rest of them.

In fairness to Tyrone people, most of the crowd have a look of shock on their faces.  Matters not helped by the Carrickmore no 19 trying to climb the wire to get into the crowd.

The Carrickmore nos 2 & 10 need to visit a competent barber.

Where are the Dromore players?

Already in the crowd??

It used to be Remembrance Day or Remembrance Sunday.  I note the BBC on Friday referred to Remembrance Weekend and another media outlet referred to Remembrance Week.  It's getting like Christmas.

Sean Quinn owes me nothing. The people of the border region (as Super Sars alludes to) will not forget everything that he brought to the area over 38 years.
He took a massive gamble in a bank that was being run by cowboys. He should have known better. But to compare the man to Sean Fitz is ridiculous. If Sean Quinn had been left to run HIS company I'd be pretty sure Toxic Anglo (sorry I mean the Irish taxpayer  ::) would have re-couped most of the money owed but the Administrators/Government knew better. This region was never going to support the Administrators or Anglo auditors. Full Stop.
Whoever heard of acceptable Liquidity Ratios before Sean Quinn was brought to task over them?
I'm not here to debate. I don't expect people from outside the Cavan/Fermanagh/Leitrim/Monaghan area to understand my opinions but it is an opinion that is prevalent up here and all the RTE/Government spin will not change that.
My own mother and her two sisters were made redundant over the whole mess. But we all know who we blame.
Best of luck to Sean Quinn in his next move.

OK.

SQ admits to owing Anglo approx €193 mill...which he says he can't repay.
