Don't know about the North,  here it's 5000 for county grounds. Smaller grounds 50% of capacity.

In the 6 is it still a case of organisers have to do a risk assessment for each venue and decide how many people they can admit safely??

Yes Croke Park included and restrictions in place until at least the end of January.

5k in south no limit in north as far as I know but have been scanning covid certs in north at some games.
