Any word when the Donaghmore v Urney game will be played?  Has the technicality been sorted?

Will it be replayed?

Surely if that's the case, every Club could hold back fees if they've a few injuries at the start of the year etc?

I would think it will be replayed, and should be replayed.  Urney didn't unpay fees to get a fixture postponed, (personal assumption) sure their fees were not paid for their 1st fixture.

Surely this is the CB stamping authority on the club to show them the importance of paying fees on time.  Once the fees are paid then their fixture can be reinstated.  I was just hoping that it was this weekend to take in a bit of club football before hitting Dublin  8)

If there is no punishment for paying fees late, every club could drag their heels. Also, why should the club(s) they were due to play be subject to extra fixture congestion because 1 club didn't pay on time?
Won't and shouldn't be replayed IMO.

That's ok from the outside looking in, there may well be a plausible reason why the fees went unpaid or possibly still are unpaid.  If this fixture isn't replayed then do Donaghmore benefit? Are Derrylaughan awarded points for a loss?  Do Gortin get a championship buy?  Are Urney excluded from the 2016 season?  The easy thing to do is, once the fees are paid allow the rescheduling of the Donaghmore fixture an move on.  If they remain unpaid then all of the above questions need to be asked.

Any fixture the club had before the payment of their fees should be treated as "Club failed to field" and points subsequently given to opposing teams.

Yeah I agree with that. I've a lot of time for Urney and I'm very fond of the Club but there surely has to be some 'punishment' for holding back fees.

Only a few differences drive here in mainly in Div2.  I would dispute some of your win margins but you were brave enough to put them in, so I will give them a stab as well

Anyone know the schedule of Minor Football for the remainder of the Season? If they play the Season without a break, the games will be:
Minor League S/F - Wednesday 4th May
Minor Championship S/F - Wednesday 11th May
Minor League S/F - Wednesday 18th May
Minor Championship S/F - Wednesday 25th May.

This would be right into the middle of Exams Period which I would say alot of parents may object to.

Any opinions?

With regard to the minors, I can see the league semi-finals being played next week, then County minor management looking for no games to be played until after their game v Derry. Playing Championship semi-finals on Wednesday 11th leaves only 11 days to the Derry game. Might be an option to play League final on Wednesday 11th, as you would only have 2 (grade 1) teams playing as opposed to 4 if the Championship semi-finals were on.

Are there no county minors in any grade two or grade three teams?

Ha ha

Sure it's boys from these same wee, unimportant clubs that have scored the winning goal in Tyrone's last two All Ireland triumphs.

Can see no games being played the week before or after the minors.
A bigger concern for the minors has to be games being played on a Wednesday at 7:00. For alot of managers and some players this can be extremely difficult.
For example the championship quarter finals had Brocagh going to Aghayarn, Greencastle going to Killyman and Moortown going to Errigal. This is putting a lot of pressure on people who work to get to those venues for a 7 oclock throw in. Surely it wouldnt be hard for these games to be played at a later time or at the weekend?

I agree with this point especially with long distances but that is not as a big a concern as to what all 17 years old do now for 10 months.

For the vast majority of players the minor season is already finished - foolishly condensed into 8-9 weeks by our county board. Now that it is over, these 17 years have no competitive football until next year Feb 2017 at the earliest with their clubs.... that is the big concern!!!!

what are they expected to do - a lot of clubs will not want them training  with their sen/res set ups in case of injury which would then cause another issue with insurance etc as they were not supposed to be playing at that level so what do these lads do. play other sports, work, socialise, study can happen anytime of the year but football is only for 9-12 weeks it seems...

Are the fixtures next weekend on the Saturday or Sunday.

Website says Sunday where it had previously been Saturday, and the master fixture sent out in April also said Saturday which would've made sense with Club day fixed for this Sunday.

Fixtures are out and it's Sunday games which is contrary to the fixture guidance sent out in April. God help any clubs that have planned events for Club day!
