I disagree, I think he play acted a bit to get the foul but I don't think anyone would have expected a red for that!  Nonsense decision, and very frustrating!  Liverpool were not that good, they won cos we had a man less for most of the game.  Ah well.

a ridiculous decision by a clown of a ref cost us big time. the players fought really well in the heat and against another shocking refereeing display. but like last week against city, good fighting displays arent getting us points on the board at the minute.
Joke of a decision all right but it is increasingly hard for Everton to compete. Last week City brought on 2 £20m players who scored, yesterday Liverpool had Bellamy,Gerrard and Henderson. Against teams pushing for top 6 we will compete if things go well for us on the day in terms of referres etc, it is beating the other teams we should be looking at. A top 10 finsih this year after the summer we had would be a decent season.

No mention of Hibbert getting away without so much as a booking for a dreadful tackle on Adam?
or Fellaini not being booked for a bad tackle on Lucas.?
or the Eveton fans throwing stuff at Liverpool players.?

Selective memory is alive and well on this thread... :)

When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

You managed to sum up the game yesterday on the Liverpool thread without mentioning the games defining moment, so I'd say it's catching :)

I had already mentioned it at half time.

or whatabout the selective mutterings from a certain 'king kenny' who didnt even want to discuss the incident that handed his team 3pts. didnt see it, didnt have an opinion on it. the same 'king kenny' who wanted a meeting with referee chiefs after they were denied a pen against stoke. funny how fair play only applies when it goes against liverpool.
agree hibberts tackle was bad, fellainis was worth no more than a yellow. as for the throwing stuff, it shouldnt have happened but can understand why it did.

as for andy carroll if thats what 35million gets you, im glad we have no money.

at least we'll have jack available for the next 3 games,(some tough ones coming up) but it still doesnt soften the blow of the redshite getting a helping hand against us. interesting to see where atkinson ends up when the prem league starts back.

Good news about Rodwell. Him and Fellaini seem to be starting to form a decent partnership and the more games they play together the better.

Another bit of good news today.

SHEEDY

just been announced that martin atkinson will receive no punishment or demotion for wrongly sending off jack rodwell. he will ref stoke v fulham this weekend. it would have been interesting to have seen what would have happened had that decision gone against liverpool or man utd. dont think atkinson would have been reffing this weekend somehow.

Another poor start to a season but things are definitely more worrying this time. Performances are not that bad, last 3 games v Utd, Chelsea and Newcastle we have more than held our own but lack of goal threat is serious.

Saha can spark the odd time but there is not much else. We have lost Artetas goals from midfield and Tim Cahill has not scored in a year when generally he would chip in with 8/10 goals a season.

On the bright side Rodwell is benefitting from getting a regular run of games and there is talk of Landon Donovan coming back in January.

SHEEDY

its also really worrying that moyes seems to have lost his spark. he now seems to have adopted an almost defeatist attitude which is bound to come across to the players.
the lack of money is being blamed for alot of evertons woes but newcastle have no money and they have managed to form a decent team.
we badly need a couple of results just to bring the confidence back to the players and the fans.
