Quote from: Wildweasel74 on March 24, 2024, 08:58:24 PMThere was 1 time he was on the Roscommon 14m line, however that happened, its only a benefit him been out the field on opposition kickouts if we won a majority of them, we don't so I can't see the % gain  for maybe 1 or 2 kickouts during the game against a major score or two if we try that shit against Dublin. McKinless got elbowed in the face the day, and whether accidental or not, it was a plain as day yellow card. Gough not up to this level anymore, and I though he let a number of obvious fouls go.

Harte said it's a broken nose! Hopefully he can wear the mask and can play next week... we'll need everyone!

Quote from: Brendan on March 24, 2024, 05:57:48 PMWasn't at the match today so will have to see the Sunday game tonight but he definitely looks to be improving in confidence match by match in his little forays up the pitch. Worth the risk at this stage against such opposition but surely more caution would be used next week against the Dubs

I'd agree with the above.

Our press was very good today but when Lynch is in midfield and we lose the opposition kickout it's chaos then.

With their strength in midfield and the speed the Dubs move the ball we'd have conceded 2-3 goals today from Lynch pushing up for the press!

Dublin 11/10 -2 points for next week.

That's clean mental!

Unfortunately I don't bet against Derry but even on balance of previous games it's a serious value price it probably won't last long.

I happily took the Dubs -6 today though!

Could only book the half 11 train from Portadown which is cutting it fine for the first game. If they're putting on more trains I'd presume they'd be earlier and we could get on them.

Will try the half 9 anyway.

Very good second half there with Lachlan Murray stepping up when Shane was having an off day. I do think we'll get beat next week against the Dubs but the signs are good for Cship and hopefully a good bank of work done when the lads are away will cement it.

Thought Donncha Gilmore was brilliant today it'd be hard to drop him.

McFaul was the main difference though he just ran everything that second half.

Quote from: SouthDublinBro on March 24, 2024, 03:31:04 PMand yet we are told that Armagh have the "best squad depth in the country at the minute"

Compared to Dublin?? Who the f**k said that?!

Dublin have half an All Ireland team to come back in FFS!

Quote from: Truthsayer on March 24, 2024, 10:05:29 AMTrip to Croke Park today not at all enticing for Tyrone folk. Happy to retain Div 1 status and Dublin will want a league final with no real competition until the other side of the Leinster final. Dublin-Derry shud make for good league final.

Tyrone can still make the final.

Derry have been very average that half we seem disjointed and losing the ball too easily in transition, Roscommon could have had 2 or 3 goals themselves.

I think if we get another goal and don't concede straight away their heads could drop but the longer they stay in it they'll fancy it. A draw would have been fair at HT.

Quote from: Franko on March 22, 2024, 02:54:36 PMHave always believed that car insurance should be nationalised and any profits redeployed to fund road upgrades

I get all the arguments about lazy civil servants etc etc

But ask yourself - would it be possible for anyone to deliver a worse service than car insurance companies?

And at least with my model there may be SOME pressure on them to act honourably

Rather that the thieving bastards they currently are

Would claims soar though??

I would be amazed if the team lines out like that on Sunday. Not too often Mickey names a team this early and if he does it's usually not the team that will be playing!
