A pattern emerges  :-\

At this stage, we can pretty certainly pencil in six of the quarter-finalists (Abbey, Clonguish, Dromard, Killoe, Mostrim and Slashers) with the winners of the Gaels-Carrickedmond game tomorrow making up a seventh. Granard and Cashel look likely to drop down to Intermediate.

As far as our match went, I didn't have high expectations beforehand; the demands of the County management team have been a disruption for us all year and on the occasions when we have had a full team available to us, form has been poor. Having said that, we threw away the game tonight - when we dominated the game in the third quarter, we failed to make our advantage tell, and there were a couple of bad misses from frees and 45s in the closing five minutes. We'll not beat Clonguish and all I hope for at this stage is that we'll manage to hold it together against Ardagh; the precedent of 2009 is not good.
