Anyone recommend some good places to eat / things to do in Malahide?

Malahide castle is lovely. Get the dart to Howth and climb the hill of Howth

Townyard is new and is quite nice. Greedy Goose another good option. If earlier in day then Deja Vu or The Greenery are good brunch spots.

Buddy of mine likes Thats Amore.

Always liked McGoverns myself. We stayed in the Grand before as well and the food was great.

Cracking spot in the good weather I really like Malahide.

Greedy Goose and Bon Appetit, both highly recommended

Getting home from any of the concerts is unfortunately shambolic and ran no better if not worse than translink et al up north.

The transport after a malahide gig is disgraceful, no extra darts on or anything and forget about a taxi. It's like sardines and a real safety hazard getting into the station.

Pure greed and no forward thinking or planning

Do they not run more trains?  The only gig I was ever at at Malahide was Radiohead for the Rainbows tour (2007-ish?).  The train was full, but we had no problem getting on it.  If they don't run extra trains, then they clearly should.

As for taxis, you're never going to make a dent in that kind of crowd with taxis.  Has to be buses and trains.
