Well speaking to club mates on Laois senior football panel they played Roscommon in a challenge before the Christmas. I hardly doubt they're talking shite considering they're togging and playing the games.

Ask them again so. We have only played Meath and next play Kildare on the 2nd January.

Laois beat Roscommon in a challenge aswell. Not sure of the scoreline

Thanks for the info, just put my life savings on Laois to win Sam.

Imagine talking about challenge matches in a thread titled 'Challenge Matches Thread'. Come on lads, stick to relevant conversation.

We'll never win the FBD with this form.

Or avoid relegation back to div 2.

This time of year a score of 1-13 should be more than enough to win a game but the rossies have now conceded 5-33 in two challenges and its not hard to figure out where the main problems lie.

Rossfan

And 3-15 conceded by the U21s.
The County that produced Harry Keegan can't get 6 middlin defenders for the last 25 years :'( :'(

Mayo beat Laois last night 3-21 to 0-19 points !

Suppose to be a very good run out for both sides with Mayo having a few big guns back and Laois progressing nicely under Creedon who is a big hit with all the players in the Laois set up!

Kildare bet us 1-16 to 1-9 last Friday.
Bet us 1-11 to 0-5 in the 2nd half.
Won't be remembered when we reach the All Irl Qtr Final. ;)

We bate them in the first half with the first team out.

The 2nd half of a challenge match doesn't matter.
It only exists to give lads a run-out.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

rosnarun

any chance of prior knowledge of some of these games or are most held behind closed doors now .
I know the on in Kilmainham  was for the opening of a new clubhouse or something

The Kildare/Ros game wasn't mentioned in Roscommon circles at all.
Just came to light via a stolen-sheep post.

I suppose with our record v County teams since the Sligo game last June we probably need to keep quiet.
Played 15 won 1 drew 1 lost 13.

It was fairly widely publicised in kildare. It was a fundraiser for the kildare team training fund so I suppose after our home game for our training fund against kildare in january this was the return fixture.
