Cavan Championship final replay cancelled with an hour and a half notice. It happens. Unfair on supporters too.
When it's due to condition of the pitch it's a different matter though, cannot be helped bar possibly making a call on it earlier in the day, but aside from that it's just something that happens, similar with bereavements occurring in one of the competing teams.

At least in Cavan they had that bit of time so mightn't have made for Breffni by then, 10 years ago we were playing Galway when the minor game was abandoned and the senior was postponed soon after, most Sligo people were already there if not too far away.

The rain in Cavan last Sunday morning only got really bad around 11 o'clock. It monsooned til about 3pm. The game was called off at 2.30. Both competing clubs agreed it was the correct call.

The Roscommon Intermediate Champions will have to play the Galway Champions in the Connacht Quarter Final on sunday 23rd at 2:30pm in Tuam, this following on from the County Final replay that is being played at 2:00pm in Strokestown on Saturday 22nd.

My club Oran are in both the hurling final which was also a draw and the football final, the hurling final replay hasn't been fixed yet but the winners of the replay will be out against the Mayo champions in the Connacht semi final on the 31st.

We have 11 dual players who didn't play a hurling match for 6 weeks and a football match for 4 weeks. The county board also forced us to play a division 1 league game against Kilmore (who we are playing in the football final) 7 weeks ago the day after our county hurling semi final. The league game was the last round and decided who survived in division 1 and who went into the relegation play off with Padraig Pearses.

We have been treated very poorly by the county board and the Connacht council. Especially as the Mayo champions were given a weeks grace. The county board in general treat my club very poorly, Our second football team which would consist of mainly of dual players would regularly be expected to tog out twice over the course of a weekend to play a hurling game and a football game, and yet we go for weeks on end with no game at all at any level.

That's Connacht Council for you.

We all know who runs the Connacht Council and in what County's interests. >:( ::)

We had a reserve game a few weeks back with or lads togged out ready to go. Opposition and ref didn't show.

Game had been called off earlier in week but TCB had forgot to tell us.
