Title: Gaelic football - coaching corner backs to play from front.
Post by: EoinĂ³ on January 06, 2017, 05:13:19 PM
Hi lads,

Doing a bit of coaching at club level in west cork, a pattern I noticed over the end of last year was that our corner backs are not very flexible in the manner that they mark opposing corner forwards. I was wondering does anyone know where I would get drills or even access video clips to demonstrate how to mark a fast corner forward from the front e.g. Johnny Cooper style, rather than shoulder to shoulder. A lot of the defensive one on one drills available online, seem to focus on the attacking running directly at the corner back. I'd appreciate any feedback on this. Sound lads.
