Will this be the first AISF played on a Wednesday? Can see it catching on.

He goes down holding his face to win a free and get the ref to show a card; so he's doing both.

Don't like the parallels with 2008 - a provincial champion, having easily won their title meets a hardened team from the qualifiers, who started poorly, scraped a few games and is now building up a head of steam, by taking a big name down.....

This is exactly what I thought when the draw was made. Dublin have been embarrassed in the 1/4's the last two years running and this match is the perfect opportunity for them to put those defeats behind them. I'm certainly not writing them off.

I'm not saying courts will always favour the claimant. If we know our insured is at fault we will seek to settle asap and keep the courts out of the process. Your friend certainly sounds as though she got a very raw deal. Having been injured she was due relevant financial redress, irrespective of how many other injured parties there are. The third party personal injury limit on an insurance policy is usually unlimited, but not always, dependend on the company.

If only it was that simple POG.

We spend huge amounts trying to defend suspect insurance claims but the simple matter is that the courts usually favour the claimant in these regards. In the above example despite the general consensus that the majority of passengers were unlikely to have been injured, they all had visited their GP's, complained of neck pains, the GP concurred and the company had close to 15 separate whiplash claims to payout. If we had decided to contest this in court, the result would most definitely have been no different but with substantial legal costs added on top. We need to have significant evidence of fraud before we can bring a court action.

As well as legal costs, the cost of injury claims is significantly higher these days as an insurer has to repay NHS costs if their insured is deemed to have been responsible

O'Neills post where he mentioned Peter was in jest I'm pretty sure. Fuzz did start a tread about Tyrone's 1/4 but realised his error, surely this is an issue that the mods should be addressing?

Answer me this Bud - would you prefer for your team to go into a match with no other tactics other than attacking the opponents goalline, but get beat out the door because you were unable to change the plan when the game wasn't going your way? Tactics win games nowadays, in football anyway. I have no authority to speak on hurling but I'm sure this has to apply here also?

The stats of the poll are interesting, although it could be argued that the posters here are not a sample section of the community as a whole.

I've worked as a commercial lines underwriter for a well know insurer (not Quinn) for 8 years. This is a huge problem for the industry. It's estimated that insurance fraud adds between 20-35% to your insurance premium depending on what type of policy it is.

I read a motor claims report once where a car had crashed into a Translink bus in West Belfast. While the car had rear ended the bus at low speed (20mph), once the incident had occurred, according to the report  "a carnival type atmosphere ensued between many of the passengers, with several shouting 'whippers' 'whippers' at full voice, while demanding the driver disclose his name along with a frantic search for discarded tickets."

Bud, you have a massive chip on your shoulder about Ulster football, or it is just us 'nordies' in general?

To blame the Tyrone posters for Sludden is a cheap shot as the Aussies would say. And what the f**k we have got to do with what Colm O'Rourke comes out with I'll never know?

The Ulster Championship was poor this year I agree, but when you have one side so far ahead of those around them that will happen. I'm not really concerned about the USFC as, when Tyrone start to lose thier grip on the Anglo Celt (which may well be next year) the matches will return to being much more competitive. The other teams will be striving to make sure that happens between now and next May.

This clampet lets on he is concerned about Ulster Bank creating a neutral working environment but takes no time to consider how any Catholic / nationalist employee of this bank, or any worker for that matter, feels about going to work surrounded by Union Jacks / Orange Order regalia. Hardy a level playing field is it Thomas?

The DUP's bigotry continues to know no bounds, certainly when it comes to the GAA.

Another busy week then for the CCCC , lets review progress 5/6 days after last weekends action in football and hurling...

Games reviewed in Hurling and Football - f**k all
Suspensions handed out - f**k all

Keep up the good work lads.

And for all of you playing or supporting this weekend, its official, you can now grab someone by the Throat, you can headbutt and attempt to headbutt, you can high tackle or kick someone on the ground and the CCCC will sit back on their holes and do f**k all about it.

Enjoy the action at the weekend or whatever action is left in the GAA

Jesus I'd hate to be paranoid wreck too.

But sure you have to assault someone three times to get the CCCC involved now, don't you?

General discussion / Re: Bratislava

Went on a stag to Bratislava a few years back. It was organised via a tour company who specialised in stag & hen parties in Eastern Europe.
We had a female tour guide with us practically the whole weekend  & one of the first things she told us was that we were gonna do a pub crawl on the friday night and not to go into any other pubs for the rest of the weekend other than the ones she pointed out as the local don't take kindly to groups of foreigners, and we'd be asking for trouble. Long story short she was on the money & three of our guys we arrested on the Sunday night.
That aside the rest of us had a quality weekend and I'd certainly go back. The beer's quality & reasonably priced, the food's is not up to much though.
