What new players do you tip for the top in 2008 in your county?

M Swift; PJ Quinn; D Mc Caul.

Down - Paul McComiskey .

Has the potential to be a real star , the new wee James . (please God )

feetofflames

Aye yes the legend from Tullylish / Glenavon with a caravan in Burren.

Paul McComiskey indeed is going to be a star.

from cavan

Martin Reily

Yeah from what I've seen of McComiskey he is going to be the real deal. Others I'd tip for the top would be Fintan Goold (Cork) and Barry Grogan (Tipperary), Tommy Walsh, Barry Walsh & David Moran (Kerry), John O'Loughlin, Zac Touhy & Donal Kingston (Laois) Paul Brogan (Dublin) and the corner forward from last years winning Galway minor team, Reddington (I think)

AZOffaly

That Lynch lad in midfield for Down looks good. I believe he's a junior player?

From Offaly I'd imagine Francis Kerrigan, the ex-Galway minor, will be a good boost for the hurlers, but the footballers are mostly fairly young anyway. Niall Smith, the young midfielder might feature as the leagues progress.

BallyhaiseMan

James Kielt of Derry, probably on the Derry Under 21's, this year

Going to be brilliant.

Thnks az - lightened up a dreary day!

Barney

Yeah Kielt looked a serious player for Derry minors last year.

In Mayo we have big hopes for Tim Cunniffe.

i think Conor Devaney in Ros is one to watch.

I wonder will Tommy Walsh from Kerry make his mark, or Zac Tuohy from Laois (3-2 from play in the Sigerson yesterday).

Is he supposed to be bad? I saw him in 2 games this year so far on d'telly and he looked useful. Raw but useful. Why, is he a lummox?

I thought he was exactly what Down needed, a big man in the middle to help Dan Gordan.

yeh that zac tuohy seems to be a fine player.

i also think kielt will make the step up, possibly james colgan in down.

for armagh, i hope to see good things from Tony kernan if he keeps up the good form.

BallyhaiseMan

Im suprised James Colgan hasnt made the breakthrough yet,
Alongside Martin Clarke he was reckoned to the the Key for Down at Minor level,
Big lad aswell.
