GAA Discussion / Re: County Manager Merry go round
August 31, 2024, 08:31:41 PM
Harsh reality is MOR doesn't want a bit of Derry senior team. Why would he. Even their own from within the county won't touch it. Greatest crowd of bitches within the Gaa. Look at some of the posts about him here for leaving Glen after all he's done. Meenagh had the job if he wanted it and chose to go to Down and the Tailteen cup instead.

Think the first message needs sent is if your lucky enough to be involved with Tyrone underage then your not guaranteed the senior job. Not that it needs saying other than to somebody that's thick. Will he need to be nominated by a club.
County board will know full well what he's like but if a few others aren't interested then it could be his

Grade 1 championship final on this Saturday morning at 11.00. Why in the morning.
One thing I'd love to see are these development squads done away with. A complete waste of time for everyone involved. All it does is overtrain players involved and completely wreck the youth calender in Tyrone

Quote from: ShutterinbyDayGAAbyNight on August 05, 2024, 08:31:57 AMHow are aghaloo still in Div 3? You see them putting up huge scores in that division for the past 3-4+ years only for them to end up bottling the league, championship and league playoffs every year.
They threw away the championship semi-final last year to Fintona in the last 10 - they were the stronger team with most possession but weren't converting that to scores on the board - Fintona got 1 single attack in that period and hit the net to win the game.

Division 3 is incredibly hard to get out of, and then stay out of
Was it a penalty. Remember watching one of there games and for me it was a dive.
Cost the other team the win

Who's the fella over Dungannon. Didn't he manage them before. Did he manage Dungannon swifts or is there some connection there.
Just to pick up in another posters comments on another's teams timidness or maybe the other teams aggression. I'd urge any player reading this not to get involved in any of this bullshit. Just play the game. Some day someone will be killed on a football pitch by a punch,it's upto the players to control themselves on the pitch. This nonsense never seems to happen in championship football just league. Only last year Ryan Coleman suffered a nasty jaw break against Clonoe. Just fricken play the game hard and fair

Was it not more of the case that Danny wouldn't rejoin the panel for 2022 after the mismanagement and subsequent disagreement with Devlin against Donegal in 2021 that ultimately resulted in a strong Tyrone team going out in the first round?
There will always be 2 sides to every story I suppose. But u would imagine when a player tells a manager to go f**k themselves he won't get an invite back.
Be interesting to see how he gets on in the championship. It's scoring forwards we need. He's small though.
That first round defeat would in 21 is why I wouldn't consider him for the senior job. Halftime was apparently just a load of roaring and shouting at the players. Very little tactical nouse at all. And no senior experience at any level either

Is that the extent of who would possibly be available/elegible?
Surely a man completely forgotten about is Ciaran Meenagh. He was there at the start of Derry revival with Mcerlain and is credited within Derry of being behind the defenive structure that has served them so well

Quote from: trueblue1234 on June 21, 2024, 07:20:38 PMHave strava downloaded, but don't really use it that much as use garmin instead. Do you need to have the paid for Strava to get the best use?
No free version is ok. Nobody really uses Strava to record there activity. The Garmin will sync with the Strava app after your ride nd you will be fit look through activity and the segments within the ride you just done. Just connect the two apps first. Best watch a YouTube vid on it. Be careful on the downhill trails thou, you come off and you will be sore so take it easy at the start. Enjoy

Must be mid life crisis time and trying to relive my youth! 😐

Where are you based?

Omagh. I know the Gortin glens are an option but not even sure where to go for the trails? Complete novice.
Best bet is to download Strava app. It will have segments within the glens, give uba rough idea. Just go out and cycle it, u won't be long discovering the trails. Strava definitely a grt tool for discovering new routes etc

100%. It was never about Art. A legend.
The disrespect Mickey Harte gets in Tyrone a disgrace.Tyrone ditched Mickey Harte if memory serves me right, did Tyrone people expect him never  to manage again with a team that might be competitive?Mickey didn't decide to leave Tyrone because Derry came calling.
Tyrone supporters are serious begrudgers especially against there own. That's a fact unfortunately.

Quote from: redzone on January 21, 2024, 07:34:54 PMWere or who do these dealers buy their cars of in the UK. There must be big profit in each car if I can get them sold. Presumably they are at auctions. You could save yourself bigoney if u cut the dealer out. Anybody know anything about doing it

You mean heading to England yourself and buying one at auction?

I don't know but would be interested. Do you need to be registered as a trader to buy at auction?
Yes that's what I mean. Didn't explain it to well with a few typos as well.
I wonder what are the prices with UK dealers like compared to here.
I was looking at a few dealers prices compared to private sale and you would be losing 2/3 grand as soon as you drive it out the gate
