Quote from: tbrick18 on March 03, 2025, 12:16:58 PMA question for any referee on here.
We had an u14 game at the weekend in a development league, mostly P7s on our team. We struggled getting kickouts aways with distance being a problem for young lads playing for the first time on a full sized pitch. The ref then informed us that provided the ball travels 15m and we have no-one in the arc when the ball is kicked, that we can receive the ball in the arc - in other words players can run into the arc as soon as the ball is kicked to receive the ball.
Is this correct? In our first game we were blew up any time a player touched the ball inside the arc from the kickout so its confusing.
In Tyrone and I presume for most other counties at U14 level the kickout rule is the same as last year, I.e. taken from the 21, all players must be outside the 13m arc and the defending team cannot touch the ball until it is outside the 20m arc

The rules I explained are the rules in Tyrone as I think that's where tbrick's lad plays. What do you mean by the 20m arc?
The arc that goes from the 20m line, the 13m semi circle from the centre of the 20m line.

Is Petey suspended for the first round of championship this year after that red card?

Elon Musk going after Starmer big time calling for his to step down. He can put serious pressure on given his control of Twitter and the US government too. Musk bigging up Tommy Robinson too saying he should be released, Musk is a dangerous dangerous man

Quote from: PMG1 on December 06, 2024, 06:39:30 PMI think the second motion is great, gives a longer season (I.e. starting earlier) some clubs only had a 4.5month season this year, makes every game serious, no overload of games I. July / August, teams with lots of county players still have chance to finish in top 8 or avoid relegation with the extra points for the last 5 games. And a team that has a raft of injuries mid season and finishes at bottom still has a chance to avoid relegation albeit a tough one. Everyone has a chance of knockout football before the championship And most importantly the league will be finished before the championship starts unlike the farce this year

I like this idea also but if Tyrone are in contention for AI then it gets messy.
You could see a scenario after July holidays where teams play 5 non starred games plus the play off games in top half/bottom half. That could lead to up to 8 games for teams.
This year we played 8 games after the July holidays and it was total overload and loads of teams suffered injuries pre championship which is not the ideal situation.
Most teams played 9 games after the July holidays and there was still league playoffs, semis and final to play. In this system 8 teams will only have 6 games to play after July holidays, 6 will have 7 to play and only the league finalists will have 8 to play and the league will be finished

Quote from: gallsman on November 24, 2024, 04:43:12 PMMcQuillan did not cost CE that game, would you all ever catch yourselves on. The fouls on Darragh were fouls. At one stage he was grabbed and swung around 360 and one of you was whinging about him diving. Too many CE names didn't show up. Ruairi Canavan was the best player on the pitch by a distance.

Don't think EC will have the legs for Kilcoo's running.
The decision not too black card for the penalty was a massive call mcquillan got wrong.
It was a pull back not a pull down, yellow correct decision
