That Clonoe man shouldn't be allowed through the gates of any GAA match every again, police matter if you ask me

But sure what do you expect from Clonoe, start getting beat and the fighting begins, a tale as old as time

What happened? Havent seen the video.

Minor development game
Cookstown win by 3.
Clonoe coach struck Cookstown coach with a sly vicious slap at Full Time. Chaos ensued therafter.

Surprised to see two men added to the panel by Malachy

Ruairi McHugh
Conor Oneill

Was McHugh in the development squad? Has he been going well for the fianna?

Both men will hardly see game time, but perhaps an eye on next year. New rules suit both. Two quality players... Just a bit surprised at the timing

Quote from: NotedObserver on May 11, 2025, 08:02:04 PMWould there still be a lack of height coming through? Joey Clarke, Daly, Mcelholm and Mccullagh stand out players but many of them in with a chance to break through

That's a real concern, everything in the garden is rosy, but especially with the new rules, you need plenty of big trees and I don't see too many coming through

Pity about McGleenans injuries
Hopefully Ruairi McHugh can kick on an in the next year or two

Quote from: trileacman on May 10, 2025, 06:11:45 PMPretty pissed watching this Ulster final given that we gave Armagh every kick out in the semi. Armaghs kick outs look so ordinary when you actually man mark them.

Been thinking the same. Poor from management.

Quote from: BennyHarp on April 27, 2025, 03:31:34 PMI'd say you'd need to be fairly blind not to see the improvement in Tyrone from last year. Yes it's not perfect yet but we have disposed of a Cavan team who took us to extra time last year, fairly easily and took the reigning all Ireland champions to within a kick of the ball. Yes there's loads of work to do but I'd be fairly confident that we are moving in the right direction.

Pretty much my thoughts as well Benny

Ruthless on McShane. Started the last day, didn't do much wrong, not in the 26 for tomorrow

Take a day off lads

Jeez

Do you want to see progression at all? Donegal, Armagh, Derry have all done the same in the last 12 months

Why the moaning? It comes across as complete resentment and bitterness. Yet if they go on a run, you'll be crying looking tickets

Quote from: NotedObserver on March 23, 2025, 08:18:13 PMGood to see a few signs of things being worked on. When they could they got early ball into Darragh and McCurry. Big Kennedy a serious operator with conn improving. Some of the support players such as Daly, donaghy and mcgeary good. Not sure what people thoughts are but been impressed with Teague. First proper run at intercounty and doing okay

Peter Teague has been excellent. I'd dread to think how we would have faired out defensively without him and Rory Brennan returning
Pity Hampsey has been missing, they've more than compensated for his absence but if we had him as well in there our defence would look formidable
Interestingly no sign of Hampsey today. Seen 7 players do a separate training session before the game, meyler was one of them but he stepped away from the intensive drills (so still looks a long way off)
Could be wrong, but didn't see Hampsey anywhere today. So can only assume he will be missing for the Ulster championship then too

Quote from: NotedObserver on March 15, 2025, 07:47:17 PMIs Mcelholm not back with the under 20s?

Could see plenty of the Errigal boys on the bench starting. Unconvinced Niall devlin is a man marking corner back although missed the Galway game. Hopefully can build on the attacking display from last time out

Yeah McElhom has joined up with the u20s , won't be involved with the seniors again til they are done, real farce of a team announcement
Why bother ?

Quote from: NotedObserver on February 15, 2025, 12:12:58 PMFew changes to come in that Tyrone line up?

I think so

Ronan Cassidy is an excellent prospect, but this level is too soon for him. If Bradley is fit, you'd imagine he will come in for him. Penny for Cathal McShanes thoughts...

Rory Brennan has to be pushing hard for a start too, and I think we could do with Conn for the kick outs

Yeah, Morgan struggled at times tonight, responsible for a few scores conceded, but ultimately delivered when it mattered. Our second goal had his finger prints all over it
Plenty of promise:
Kennedy won the midfield battle
Peter Teague showed why many us where frustrated he never got a chance under the previous management team
Shea Ohare and Conor McElhom showed huge promise making their NFL debuts. Two class acts from last year's u20s
Serious talent to come back in yet

All tempered by the fact that Derry were poor.

Few surprises in Malachys line up. I'll be even more surprised if there isn't a couple of changes announced at 5.45? Anyhow the bench does look strong, probably hasn't seen us with as good a bench since 2021. Every side will utilise all 5 subs with the pace of the game ratcheting up under the new rules

Big test for Nathan McCarron.

Heard McElholm and Bradley both had niggling injuries of late, so an opportunity for Ronan Cassidy

Strong Derry starting 15. As far as I can see only padraig mcgrogan and Conor McCluskey would be missing form their best 15? Lachlan Murray is dangerous, I'd be concerned with the 3v3 match ups

Hard to know how this will go, so much change and uncertainty from last year

McRory football is all about playing with your school mates, lads you toiled with for years in the classroom
Local pride, derbies, history, friendships and rivalries

Amalgamations have no place in McRory. If your school isn't big enough for McRory, play Markey football etc
