Are none of youse Armagh boys in the slightest bit concerned that your Co Secretary has left the job because the Co Board can't afford to pay him...and then when he volunteered to do the job for nothing they said thanks but no thanks???

Have to say that this is very strange indeed and very worrying,  I would really question what is happening if they cannot pay his wages.

I think the County Board only contributes around £15,000 pa towards his pay. Odd that Armagh can't raise that sort of figure.

The reason for Nugent's exit is thought to centre on the inability to continue to pay his salary which was funded by both Croke Park and the Armagh board.

I thought he was a good administrator. I don't know him personally but I knew his dad who was a big GAA man in his day.
