That Galway team let themselves down a bagful there at the end.

Hopefully a lot of long bans coming for them

There will be no doubt.
And hopefully just as long of a break for that referee in terms
of getting anymore high profile matches as well.
He is clearly out of his depth.

To be fair the MM lads were restrained enough at the end. I know one of them pushed the Ref, But that was the guts of it. They had a huge call go against them coming into the home stretch. Referees are human also and make mistakes. Could the linesmen have helped the Referee out with the 'Mark' call?

Well the thing about the mark that wasn't is that it wasn't remotely borderline.
The kicker was miles outside the 45.

Mountbellew and Mayo Gaels was hot favourites to win the senior and intermediate Connacht titles, both out before the finals shows how unpredictable club football can be.

Senior final January 9th

Knockmore (Mayo) v Padraig Pearses (Roscommon) - Ballina at 1:30pm

Intermediate Final January 8th or 9th

Leitirmor (Galway) v St Faithleachs (Roscommon) - Pearse stadium

Junior final January 8th

St Patricks (Sligo) v Kilmeena (Mayo) Markievicz Park
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Mano

This referee Jerome Henry is not fit to referee at this level or any level. It's not the first time he has given biased decisions at Connaught level. Its time he was taken off the referee list.

Or maybe he made a mistake?

You should be thrown out of Connacht for an inability to spell the name of the province correctly.

That's no excuse at all

Duine Eile

The referee made a huge mistake at the end but still doesn't give Mountbellew Moylough free rein to go after him the way some of them did. Barry McHugh is looking at a big ban you'd think along with the keeper and who knows how many more. Easy blame the loss on the ref and that one decision but in fairness both teams had plenty of chances to win it before that and MM didn't take their opportunity.

Wildweasel74

Ref made a  er poor decision with the mark, no doubt, but u can't go after him like that after the game. Watching the hurling here, ref send a tipp man off and been giving that team everything since.

What's capacity of James Stephens Park in Ballina as only 50% of the capacity will be allowed to attend the Connacht senior final on January 9th.

We're going to bring home the SAM

Connacht intermediate final deferred until Saturday, January 15th because of a covid outbreak in the St Faithleachs camp.

Matches getting pushed back will become common next month I'd expect.
