No Vaughan for the frees could be crucial.

I don't think Casey has the distribution skills for that role, and I think Collie Moran would probably benefit from a period of being brought in as an attacking substitute rather than a starting role.

Would have to agree with that. Not suited to CHB at all in my opinion, seems to be a favorite of Pillar's though. Thought Collie was playing well there till he picked up a knock in the earlier rounds.

Cosgrove seems to be gone alright, no sign of him anyway.

Could be close, a lot depends on how fired upt he two teams are.

The u21 management have a job getting the best 15 ont he pitch, i cant pick the best 15 no matter how many times i try. Not often you'd say that about a dublin hurling panel.

Well we'll be splitting into north and south soon, not sure if it's next year or the year after.

No doubt it has helped develop our underage teams in recent years, winning the all Ireland wa s ahuge boost for the underage set-up and helps breed confidence and media attention.

I presume the split is to expose more players to that level of hurling while retaining a competitive edge ... hopefully ...

How long is this 'Dublin colleges' concept going to be around? It's obviously a big boon for Dublin underage hurling, but is it fair? Is there a 'Westmeath' colleges, or even an Offaly colleges?

Is it up to the counties themselves? If not, why should Dublin get such a boost at underage level?

Valid question.

There is a Westmeath colleges alright.

The boarding school hurling nurseries in the past were often a collection of the best and brightest from their county and beyond in some cases, they held an unfair advantage for many years really.

This is only the second time a Dublin team has beaten Kieran's so I think it's a little too soon to say that we've an unfair advantage.

Having said that the colleges are split into North and South at junior level the last few years and that's coming through to senior shortly. Dublin south lost to Kieran's by one point in the Leinster final last year.

I think the lack of borders is leveling the playing field alright. Flannan's aren't the force they once were either, all the same a great scalp for Dublin.

Should be an interesting tie, Antrim seem to be motoring well, worryingly well from our point of view considering the big match next weekend.

Whatever you think about Rovers, the people of Tallaght have a right to have a soccer team that competes in the LOI

I don't get that, MS. I might as well argue that the people of East Meath have the right to have a local horse running in the Grand National.

Yea, and screw the people of Milltown, sher they don't deserve a local team.

Croke Park are paying all the costs.

Anywhere between 400k and a million.

Money well spent if you ask me.  ::)

OK. 2 Day ban for Dublinfella. I was quite clear about this.

Any chance you could lock this thread so we can finally be rid of this debate? ... i use the word debate loosely ...
