General discussion / Trying to trace my old vehicle?
February 23, 2011, 04:03:32 PM
Does anybody know how I can track down a vehicle I owned in the late eighties to early nineties, it was last registered in 1993 and the registrant sold it on but it was never reregistered after that. I know the registration number and the tax office told me it was last taxed in 1993. Any help would be really appreciated.

GAA Discussion / Mayo 2011, the new frontier?
July 29, 2010, 10:31:43 AM
Longford may have done JOM and the rest of MAYO a BIG favour. A fresh start with completely new management that players will listen to, too many players appeared very lethargic for some reason or other others appeared out of shape. All was not well.
2011 will be a tough one but i think we have enough quality and skill to be up there near the top with everyone pulling in the same direction.

General discussion / limerick, media and thugs.

I see on todays Irish Independent that in the story of the murder commited in Limerick is covered in the usual manner.
"druglords" "crimefamilies", why glorify them with such terms, call them "cowards" or "terrorists" but not lords or barons.

General discussion / YAMAHA MOTORCYCLE SEARCH
February 07, 2009, 11:34:56 AM
If anyone knows where I can get my hands on a 1988 to 1992 TZR 125 ora 1981 to 1986 RD 350 I am willing to pay a finders fee,   lots lie rusting in sheds and you probably all have a friend or neighbour with an old bike sitting there rusting, maybe the type I am looking for.
Both are made by YAMAHA.

Thanks.

October 22, 2008, 10:52:27 AM

Boy was crying and cut on side of face from stones and sand on the road.

General discussion / swan fed firecracker
September 25, 2008, 10:05:33 AM
i see on the irish independent where a swan was given bread with a firecracker in it, he had it in his beak and bang, very funny?
what kind of yokes are being dragged up in ireland today?

and the culprit will joke about it and even if caught will get a slap on the wrist, society is returning to the gutter.

I am trying to do one and training hard but shagged after an 18 mile run, despite having ran afew 18 milers in recent weeks, any tips?
Another 8 miles after the first 18 is barely imaginable at present and I have entered the dublin run in october (next month).

General discussion / AGGRESSIVE DOG
September 11, 2008, 08:40:03 PM
The problem.

A dog I found tied in a bag garden when its owner skipped off.Seems very friendly one minute, sits when told and likes top get rubbed on the head, generally like a normal dog.

Then for little and sometimes no reason he will snap, snapped at my niece who went to rub him, he had jumped onto the sofa and cuddled up beside her, she went to pet the little hoor and snap.

He is a terrier mix about a year or 2 years old.

Question, do we put him down for safety of small kids or can he be taught not to be so aggressive?

General discussion / The bad old days returning?
September 08, 2008, 09:48:11 AM
Are we facing a mass exodus or just scaremongering?

See on the Irish indo today about thousands of families ready to move abroad. Does anyone know people making the move?

General discussion / MAYO, ABSOLUTELY NUTS.
May 28, 2008, 10:28:18 PM
Mayo County Council will take any car that is parked with a sale sign on it along the highways and byways of the county and crush them free of charge to discourage anyone  selling by this method.
True.
Badgers, birds and frogs will be asked to use over and underpasses as part of the new "Safe Mayo Road Scheme". Maybe fixing the holes and draining the lakes along said roads would be more beneficial to road safety.
THE LUNATICS ARE RUNNING THE ASYLUM.

General discussion / World Cup or Sam Maguire?
April 24, 2008, 05:38:02 PM
Which would you prefer, Ireland to win the World Cup Final or your own county to win Sam Maguire?
Kerry nor Brazilian  lads need not bother replying.
For me it would have to be Sam Maguire, I like the ould soccer but would prefer to see Mayo land Sam.

I am abroad at the minute and plan on moving home and building a home, has anyone done so recently? I would build a bungalow,4 bed and decent size rooms throughout.I have the site and wondered what type price to build excluding the finishing inside.Dash wall outside and  a slate roof, tegral or the like.
The inside is totally down to the type of kitchen, floors, tiles etc so aI will leave that until I get further into it,
By the way it would probably be a concrete house.
Thanks for any help.

General discussion / What next for the US dollar?
April 17, 2008, 01:43:00 PM
Anyone care to guess what will happen to the US dollar?
$1.60 is the point today, can it ever return to somewhere decent?
I know a few waiting it out in NY to see if they can move home with a better exchange rate.
