Trossard linked with Saudi before so maybe wants a big payday before he retires.

That result was coming a while now. Probably shouldn't have beaten Leicester last week and they're dung.

Although the injuries have been unlucky, I don't think Arteta has mastered how to peak at the right time.

If they can somehow get over PSV, and that's looking increasingly dodgy, and get maybe Saka and Martinelli back, then there's a still chance of something.

They look out on their feet at the minute.

Yous will be back. Arsenal haven't become a bad team overnight.  A few players in key positions and get a decent manager and yous will be well in with a shout.

Boards fault.. Saying they couldn't get anyone in but Asensio for Villa he could have came in on loan or Kolo Muani who went on loan in Jan to Juve could have been explored.. Fact is the board were being cheap and cost the team the title.

J70

Assuming Liverpool do go on to win it, despite the well-earned regrets they'll harbour for this season, Arsenal are still arguably the best placed to challenge next season. Add a decent striker or two, and they'll be in great shape, with who knows what's to come with both the City and Liverpool squads.

You are being quite dismissive of Liverpool here, they should have went after a striker in the summer rather than scrambling around in January. Arteta would have known Lewis Skelly was coming through why waste money at left back whenever Timber could fill in there also.

A striker in January would have helped but it wouldn't have assured they won the league.  As j70 said they are in a decent spot for next year if Arteta realises that needs a quality front man.

Captain Obvious

Arsenal will have guard of honour to do when they visit Anfield in May.

A club that needs a upgrade in manager if the owners has ambitions to win trophies in the years ahead.

Armamike

Arsenal just need a few additions up front and stick with their manager.  Wouldn't put their injuries all down to bad luck though - the likes of Saka being played too much maybe.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Where am I being dismissive of Liverpool? Haven't mentioned them at all.. I'm saying it's the boards fault that they've allowed the gap to widen by not bringing in players to help the team.

Won't hear me disagree with Artetas transfers, reason why Edu left - Sesko should have been bought last summer but Calafori was bought to cover Saliba getting injured but because of injuries to White/Tierney/Zini/Tomiasyu that's meant timber has played at RB and Cala at LB with Lewis-Skelly.

Personally I don't see us challenging next season.. Partey, Trossard and Jorginho are leaving so need replaced as well as buying a ST.. Something I don't think the board will fund

This would indicate that if Arsenal bought any type of striker they would have won the league, which I don't agree with Liverpool have been excellent this season.  Salah is having an amazing season even by his own standards and Arsenal don't have anyone capable of matching the numbers he has put up this season. If Arsenal had have got a striker in the summer they may have pushed Liverpool but it would not be a forgone conclusion that Arsenal would win the league, for example, the striker may not have worked out for one reason or another.

Look-Up!

What do Arsenal fans make of Rice. Seems a decent lad but was he worth the money and wages he's on?

Hard to be too critical of Arteta, transformed the team and has them competing both at PL and CL but since they've loosened the purse strings the wage bill has crept up significantly without much extra to show for it. Couple of the latest signings very questionable and even lads that were ripping it up before have slowed down a bit once the bumper contracts were secured.

Is it guaranteed Partey and Trossard are leaving? Where are they going? They are decent squad players to have.

I'd agree it's what has happened. Last season Arsenal finished on 89 points and the season before 84 points. This season they'll be lucky to reach 80 points.

Have done poor in the knock out stages of European competitions the last number of seasons and I'd be surprised if that improves, might overcome PSV and then it's one of the Madrids to play.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose
