If Tubs had the good sense to run the show like the Graham Norton Show tonight and have all his guests on at once we'd properly have got the Late Late's first on-screen fist fight.

:D That would be worth watching. Saw a bit last night. Twas the same shit as always.

Was Davy fitz on before or after Sinead?

So the Referendum didn't ban Sinead then.

It's a messed up show ... They have Sinead O'Connor on and she doesn't sing ... They have Nathan Carter on and he does ... two own goals for the Late Late.

The O' Driscoll melodrama was a great embarrassment for Ireland. Our Princess Di moment, but much worse. The Lions' comprehensive win in the third test made it even more ridiculous.

There's always one.

Jonathan Davies did nothing to suggest he was more deserving of a place than perhaps the greatest centre to ever touch a rugby ball in a cauldron like that do-or-die third test. The result didn't justify that selection in any sense.

Gatland's comments this week confirmed for anyone who somehow hadn't noticed before that he has a huge chip on his shoulder with regards to Ireland. It wasn't simply a selection decision and that is why it rubbed everyone up the wrong way and quite rightly so.

Ya might have a good point about Gatland but in top-level sport the right result always justifies the selection. To say otherwise is nonsense IMO as is the argument that a player's former greatness should make any difference when picking a team.

The only centre who had even a passing influence on a game that ended up a runaway victory for the Lions was Jamie Roberts. The match was won up front. BOD offered more from 13 (or even 12 if Gatland wanted to go mix-and-matching) and it's hard to make a case the Lions would have won by any less if BOD was starting.
