At first club game of the year - huge improvement!... however umpire and ref can't seem to judge 2 pointers! Twice clearly outside arc not given..

Umpires definately can't see where the arc is.  Impossible for them.

That was the issue. Linesman and umpire from team that scored didn't signal them and ref missed them. As clear as day to supporters.

His own umpires? At our game today virtually impossible to call the 3v3 calls, the confusion from sidelines, players and managers calling for it really make it impossible to properly control

In the Cavan-Down game, Down were caught for a breach of the 3v3 rule. The referee played advantage as Cavan were attacking. Cavan had the ball around midfield worked it up to the forward line where Gearoid McKiernan kicked a one point score from play to level the game.
Would Cavan have been better stopping or kicking the ball out of the play, so that they got the option of either a 2 point free at the edge of the 40m arc or worst case a tap over free in front of the posts. By going for a one point score from play and getting it this was deemed as the advantage being accrued.

Was it a case that it would have just been a free on the halfway line? Or was this the old rules lol

Look I'm not denying we could be doing better but don't throw out statements that might not be true just to make a point, any wage could be a nice figure..

guys, how many times has the same point t be made on this forum.... go right back to the posts about Dawson, Lenny, Fitzsimons, McGinley and every other manager we have had. We blamed everyone of them....

The county for years have made investments in senior managers and negated the grassroots of our sport. Arse about face. Our minors got another terrible drubbing v Derry last week, our 20s will face the same fate with whoever they face whether thats the A or B c'ship.

The whole focus and our set up is wrong. If you dont sew the seeds, i.e. this next generation now, how the f**k can we expect anything other at senior level than to be in the pits of county football.

I cant wait to see the fruits of what Gaelfast is doing, because at the minute, the reports i am hearing, the personnel involved in it are stealing a wage

I hear similar that gaelfast are doing very little and getting paid big money , the only club in Belfast which really seems to be progressing is Naomh Brid and they are majorly helped with selection of players from an abundance of locations but ill say no more on that matter. The quality begins at development squads , the treatment of players , standards and a lot more have a huge role to play. I have said this before on the forum a huge issue is the lack of exposure to high level football when young. Take a look at cargin just as an example how many of these lads went to secondary school in Derry and represneted St Pats or St Marys i think this is crucial in development of players compared to schools in antrim where football is almost saw as a secondary sport. The culture is another issue which will be a hard one to shift but until players are given the same treatment as even for example Antrim hurlers (the coverage of games etc in previous years) the buy in will be limited.

Any coach that asks a player with a head injury to play should be sacked, equally it's quite a serious allegation to be bouncing onto the internet without a source or names of player.

Gaelfast are trying to push water up a hill with the limited resources they have, from what I see and hear they do a decent job of trying to sow the seeds of the game in primary schools often, I would suggest clubs could be doing a lot more on ensuring they have the right coaches at the right ages rather than just who is willing or available.  Skills don't grow on tree's they are taught.

If anyone has concussion they would, as long as they are symptom-free and have fully returned to normal life and light exercise, a return to sport can start after 14 days..

Is this an alleged concussion?  Must have happened at training recently?
