Quote from: Wildweasel74 on April 25, 2024, 10:23:57 PMAt the end of the day, the GAA wanta top of the range stadia but paid £15million to built it. Would that wash if u wanted to built a house but only pay 1/6 of the cost to build it. They have to build whatever can be built with the money available. They seem to miss the point that their sheer lack of due diligence back about 10yrs ago, is the main reason we in this shit show.Well, not quite. We are claiming to have contributed a significantly larger amount than that.

Crip died young but he performed an important task.Quote from: Harold Disgracey on April 24, 2024, 11:02:09 PMYou will have noticed that the LVF were generally unable to carry out any attacks in the Garvaghy Road and Tunnel areas of Portadown. They did once try to shoot up the Tír na nÓg clubhouse one night but apparently the gunman was shaking so much he missed the building. Billy Wright and his cohorts were very much protected and enabled by the RUC, everyone in Portadown was aware of this hence the RUC couldn't guarantee easy access and exit from any of the nationalist areas of town. As an aside Robert Hamill's mother died this week without seeing any justice for her son's murder.
Wasn't aware of the Portadown situation, but thinking back on it there was genuine fear of the LVF across the catholic community. Watching King Rat and his cohorts patrol the crowds at Garvaghy always sent chills. There was that feeling that they could and would do what they wanted. Pure evil.
I know Wright eventually finished up in prison, but I can't remember what the charge was.
His killing in prison, also feels like it could have had a level of facilitating about it - perhaps to keep him quiet?

Quote from: trueblue1234 on April 21, 2024, 07:37:05 PMLads away and have a look at yourselves. Arguing every single call that was against your team. There was very little in the reffing of that game that was controversial.Give the prize to this fella.
The last couple of pages would make your head hurt.

Quote from: Armagh18 on April 20, 2024, 07:26:47 PMGoal scoring opportunity so once its inside 21 its a pen. Thought it should be black under new rule? No. It must be a black card offence which denies a goal scoring opportunity.
David all about me Gough has to give a black card for something after.
Quote from: Blowitupref on April 20, 2024, 07:25:04 PMHas to be a black card offence for that.Quote from: screenexile on April 20, 2024, 07:24:12 PMThat was outside!!
Goal scoring opportunity doesn't have to be inside. 3-8 to 0-10
Quote from: Milltown Row2 on April 13, 2024, 09:33:09 PM??Quote from: Sportacus on April 13, 2024, 09:28:05 PMCouldn't really fault the lads that took the field today. Plenty of effort and chances were created, but the composure wasn't there to finish them.
If they stay committed and a few come back from injury then another good run in the Tailteann and a big day in Croke Park is still there.
Both teams are a world away from the top level.
You know Antrim are Div3 and needed to win last game to stay up?
Quote from: Walter Cronc on April 13, 2024, 08:59:00 PMAm I the only one who thinks Laverty, Donnelly and Meenagh can't possibly work? Surely 3 high profile names can't all be singing of the same hymn sheet in terms of football philosophy??There's life beyond the Irish News.
Quote from: Spike on April 13, 2024, 08:36:57 PMThat's that for another year. And we wonder why we can't get kids to buy into the Saffron dream.Sorry, the what....?
