Quote from: befair on March 24, 2025, 02:04:00 AMIn general the new rules have been a great success; tho wish they had kept 4 pts for a goal.

As a Derry man I'm glad they didn't, our hammerings were bad enough

The Irish News have named the GAA catfish "suspect", first time I've seen her named officially. Imagine it ended up not being her

Quote from: Tony Baloney on March 18, 2025, 07:37:21 PMIs there any good reason why the number of people on disability has doubled in the past few years. That's the story.

Covid undoubtedly a big part of it, gives an easy excuse to play the mental health card which can't really be questioned

Quote from: trileacman on March 18, 2025, 10:33:24 AMDoes anyone know where to get the definitive version of the final rules? All I can get is half-baked snippets from Joe.ie.

Should be available by the 2nd week of July just in time for the All Ireland final

Can't believe we're talking about another manager, would be 4 managers in 3 years (counting Meenagh)

Alot has went against Tally with the late appointment, injuries and drop outs but he hasn't stooped to Hartes level of stubbornness and blaming the players. And look at the few potential gems he has unearthed by just giving them a chance, even though they may not have got those chances if it wasn't for the injury crisis.

The main reason I want to hang onto him is I can't go through another dilemma like we did with his and Hartes appointment only for it to be inevitably disappointing again

Wonder can you get one to burn the lines into the pitch like you see in some of the older pitches around the country

Was listening to BBC radio 1 announcing some of the artists performing at their big weekend in May and so many of them are 1 hit wonders, they've a fella performing who was also on the line up last year, on the back of 1 single, yet he hasn't released any song of note that I've heard since then

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on March 10, 2025, 06:12:18 PMThat lad Sweeney from Faughanvale was a good player. Whatever happened the GK Harkin? From Limavady.

Sweeney had a solid season last year especially, haven't seen him about during the ulster league campaign so maybe carrying an injury. The keeper Oran Hartin always fancied himself out the field so maybe could suit the new rules but doubt he'd be any better than what is already there

Quote from: Ryan O on March 09, 2025, 06:36:04 PMGood to hear there has been a Senior development squad set up, there can be no more moaning from clubs (geographical areas) about players not getting opportunities. All getting good exposure around Owenbeg and insight to what it takes to be Inter County player.

I think I'll still moan, how's it going work? Haven't seen this update anywhere except your post
I'm told they are a common thing in Dublin, Kerry, Mayo, Galway. New batch of development squad players along with existing players who don't normally make the match day squad train, play in house games against senior team and getting same treatment as our senior team. Idea being that puts additional push on squad players that their place isn't guaranteed. Essentially its a County Reserve team.

Good news then, exactly what we've needed to bolster the panel
